Eddie Kingston is heading to Arena México this Friday for a huge championship opportunity.

The AEW star will challenge Hechicero for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship as part of CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular event.

Kingston was recently ruled “not cleared” for his scheduled AEW Continental Cup Challenge quarterfinal against Claudio Castagnoli. However, his inclusion on Friday’s card indicates he has now been cleared to return to action.

The match gives Kingston an immediate chance to make an impact on his return, with one of CMLL’s biggest championships on the line.
