Former NWA star Missa Kate has sparked some interest about her wrestling future after being spotted at TNA Lockdown 2026 in Chicago, Illinois.

The event took place in Kate's hometown, with Fightful reporting that the retired wrestler was among those in attendance. While her appearance alone does not indicate that anything is planned with TNA, comments she made afterwards have left the possibility of an in-ring comeback open.

Missa Kate adopts "never say never" approach

Kate officially retired from professional wrestling last year, but it appears she is not completely closing the book on her career.

Fightful Select confirmed her presence at Lockdown and revealed what Kate had to say when asked about potentially stepping back inside the squared circle.

On X, Fightful wrote:

“Missa Kate attended TNA Lockdown, @FightfulSelect has learned. Regarding a return to wrestling, she told Fightful, ‘Never say never.'”

The comment is brief, but it suggests the former NWA World Women's Tag Team Champion is keeping her options open should the right opportunity come along.

Kate was only 30 years old when she announced her retirement following several years in the wrestling business. Her final match took place on December 12, 2025, when she competed against her trainer Steve Boz in a career-versus-career match for Chicago Style Wrestling.

Her appearance at TNA Lockdown has naturally created some speculation, particularly given her comments about a possible return. Being back around a major wrestling event in her hometown could potentially have reignited some of that competitive desire, although there is currently no indication that Kate has agreed to return to wrestling or is in talks with TNA.

For the moment, Kate remains retired, but her "never say never" response means fans may not have seen the last of her inside the ring.
