A WWE star was backstage at TNA Lockdown in Chicago over the weekend, with Bayley now confirmed to have attended the event.

PWInsider initially reported on Sunday night that Bayley had been spotted behind the scenes at Lockdown. Further confirmation arrived on Monday when TNA's Jada Stone shared a photo showing the pair embracing backstage.

Stone accompanied the image with a short but meaningful message about the former WWE Women's Champion.

“My reason,” Stone wrote about Bayley, before adding, “Thank you.”

Bayley's support for Stone is nothing new. Back in 2024, Bayley was spotted wearing a Jada Stone shirt during a WWE press event, highlighting her admiration for the rising wrestler well before Stone became a full-time member of the TNA roster.

Stone began her professional wrestling career in 2021 and built much of her reputation on the independent scene. She also made occasional appearances for AEW and Impact Wrestling during the early stages of her career before officially signing with TNA in November.

She now has a major opportunity ahead of her on the August 27 edition of TNA Impact, where she will face M by Elegance in the tournament final to determine the inaugural Knockouts TV Champion.

As for Bayley, her presence backstage at a TNA event comes at an interesting point in her WWE career.

She has not competed on WWE television since July, when she was defeated by Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night's Main Event. Bayley has remained active on a limited basis at WWE live events, including triple threat matches involving Valkyria and Sol Ruca.

There has also been continued speculation surrounding Bayley's WWE contract and what could be next for the former Women's Champion. Her appearance backstage at Lockdown will inevitably add another layer to those discussions, although there is currently no indication that her visit was anything more than supporting Stone.

With WWE and TNA continuing to maintain a working relationship, seeing WWE talent around TNA events is also considerably less unusual than it would have been several years ago.

Still, with questions surrounding Bayley's future continuing to circulate, her appearance at Lockdown is certain to attract plenty of attention.
