A former WWE and AEW star may be heading back to PROGRESS Wrestling next month, at least if a tease from new company owner Big Damo is anything to go by.

PROGRESS will present When September Ends on Sunday, September 27 from the Camden Ballroom in London, England, and Damo, who WWE fans will remember as Killian Dain, has dropped a potentially significant hint about the show.

Responding to promotional material for the event on X, Damo wrote:

“there’s a hint in the show title…I would really recommend you nab your tickets soon”

The comment has naturally sparked speculation over exactly what Damo is referring to. One possibility is the return of Tommy End, better known to WWE and AEW audiences as Aleister Black and Malakai Black respectively.

Could Tommy End Be Heading Back To PROGRESS?

PROGRESS has already announced Black for its upcoming Odyssey Tour, where he has been advertised under the Malakai Black name. However, Damo's reference to the September event's title could suggest another appearance is being lined up for Camden.

Since his WWE departure in April, Black has already returned to action outside the company. His first match following his release came for Dark Arts Gym, where he competed under his pre-WWE ring name, Tommy End.

It remains unclear whether Tommy End will be the name he uses regularly on the independent scene or whether that appearance was simply a one-off. Equally, PROGRESS has not officially confirmed that Black/End is the person Damo was teasing.

Still, with the wording of Damo's post, Black's existing relationship with PROGRESS and the rather convenient "When September Ends" show title, there are certainly enough clues for fans to start connecting the dots.

Unless, of course, Damo has managed to find an independent wrestler named Jason September.

For now, fans will have to wait and see exactly what PROGRESS has planned for Camden on September 27.
