Nic Nemeth added even more gold to his collection at TNA Lockdown, leaving the event as a double champion following a huge victory in the main event.

Nic teamed with his brother Ryan Nemeth to challenge Matt and Jeff Hardy for the TNA World Tag Team Championship inside the cage, with the brothers looking to bring The Hardys' title reign to an end.

The championship battle featured several major moments, including Nic recovering from a Twist of Fate and immediately catching Jeff Hardy with a superkick. Ryan was also on the receiving end of a brutal moment when Matt Hardy came crashing down with an elbow drop that sent him through a table.

As Matt appeared ready to finish Ryan off, Nic intervened at the perfect moment. He connected with the Danger Zone on Matt, allowing the Nemeth brothers to secure the victory and become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions.

The result means Nic Nemeth now holds two championships in TNA, adding the World Tag Team Championship to the TNA World Championship already in his possession.

Leon Slater Makes His Bound For Glory Intentions Clear

Ryan Nemeth brought beers into the ring as the new champions began celebrating, but their moment was interrupted by Leon Slater.

Earlier in the night, Slater had captured the TNA X Division Championship by defeating Cedric Alexander. However, the newly crowned champion had something much bigger in mind.

Slater entered the ring and revealed that he was invoking "Option C" for TNA Bound For Glory, giving up the X Division Championship in exchange for an opportunity to challenge for the TNA World Championship.

Slater officially surrendered the championship to TNA President Carlos Silva before turning his attention directly toward Nemeth.

Nic and Ryan attempted to attack Slater, but the British star managed to fight off both brothers. Lockdown then went off the air with Slater holding up Nemeth's TNA World Championship, providing a clear preview of the major title showdown awaiting them at Bound For Glory.

With Nemeth now carrying two championships and Slater surrendering one title for the opportunity to take his biggest prize, TNA has quickly set the stage for a significant World Championship encounter.
