The wrestling community continues to rally around Tanea Brooks, better known to fans as Rebel, following the news of her battle with ALS.
DREAM Pro Wrestling has become the latest promotion to lend its support, raising an impressive $7,181.41 to help in the fight against ALS and show its backing for Rebel.
The promotion, which is operated by AEW star and one-half of The Outrunners, Truth Magnum, staged a special benefit event in late July. The show brought wrestlers and fans together for the cause, with the money raised providing another example of the support Rebel has received from across professional wrestling.
Rebel previously revealed that she had been diagnosed with the terminal stage of ALS. Since making her diagnosis public, wrestlers, promotions and fans have come together through fundraising efforts and awareness campaigns to show their support.
DREAM Pro Wrestling's contribution comes ahead of another major show dedicated to Rebel. AEW will present a special edition of Dynamite titled "Rebel Heart" on September 9 in Athens, Georgia, with the event being held in support of Rebel.
The continued fundraising efforts highlight how the wrestling industry has united behind Rebel during an incredibly difficult period.
