Triple H Branded “Insecure” and a “Snake” in Backstage Claims

Triple H Branded “Insecure” and a “Snake” in Backstage Claims

Paul London has made it clear that time has done little to change his opinion of Triple H.

Almost two decades removed from his WWE run, London has launched a scathing attack on WWE’s Chief Content Officer, describing him as a “snake” and one of the most insecure people he has encountered in wrestling.

Speaking with Rewind Recap Relive and Vaughn Vertigo, London revisited an angle involving himself, Brian Kendrick and Triple H. The former WWE Tag Team Champion recalled the night he and Kendrick came to Triple H’s aid on television, only for both men to receive Pedigrees afterwards.

Before discussing the angle itself, London did not hold back when sharing his personal view of Triple H.

“Hunter’s like one of the most insecure people you’ll ever come across, which is probably why he got into bodybuilding because he’s a pathetic, just, he’s not a good person. And so he hides behind all this s***, you know what I mean? Like a fake body and like a fake personality and like a fake, ‘Oh yeah, we’re on the same team. Oh yeah. Oh no, it’s for your best interest.’ Like he’s just such a snake.”

London then mentioned UFC CEO Dana White, suggesting he believes Triple H looks up to White, although he stressed that he has never personally dealt with White and was only speaking from his own experiences with Triple H.

“And I’m pretty sure, you know, I’m sure Dana White is like his hero. That’s like what he dreams to, or aspires to be. I can’t see Dana White’s any better. But I don’t know Dana White. I just know from my experiences with Hunter.”

London then turned his attention to the day of the WWE angle. He recalled arriving at television alongside Kendrick and immediately sensing something unusual when Triple H was apparently waiting to speak with them.

“So that day Brian and I got to TV. I think we might even got there early, and Hunter was waiting for us, and so we were like, ‘Okay, this is weird.’ Like this guy usually scraping us off his, you know, whatever. And something might be going on here.”

According to London, Triple H quickly began explaining that they would be working together that evening. What stood out to him, however, was how frequently Triple H allegedly insisted that the idea had come from former WWE executive Kevin Dunn rather than himself.

“So we showed up and he was immediately in like pitch and defend mode. So he was like, ‘Hey guys, no, like I’m pretty sure we’re on time.’ Oh, something about that. ‘I just wanted to talk to you guys right now ’cause we’re going to be working today. We’re going to be doing a little something. It wasn’t my idea. Just wanted to let you guys know this, not my idea. Kevin Dunn’s idea, actually.’”

London claimed Triple H continued repeating that point throughout the conversation, leaving him puzzled about why there was such an effort to distance himself from the creative direction.

“‘And we’re going to be doing something today on TV. It’s going to be live. But we’re gonna be working today. Wasn’t my idea. Just remember, it’s Kevin Dunn’s idea. Wasn’t my idea, by the way. But we’re going to be doing the thing later. We’ll get with you guys later. But it’ll be, you know, it’ll be good. I think it’s going to be, again, it wasn’t my idea. It was Kevin Dunn’s idea.’ Like it was just like, ‘What the f***?’”

London and Kendrick eventually carried out the segment, initially assisting Triple H before both were laid out with Pedigrees.

While the television angle itself was brief, London’s recollection suggests the backstage conversation surrounding it has remained firmly in his memory. Years later, he clearly remains unimpressed by both the segment and his experiences working with Triple H.
