The Police Investigation Concludes

Earlier this week, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office ended their investigation of the Benoit family tragedy. They have found that Chris acted alone and that the incident was a double-murder suicide. They also released some information that might finally provide some insight as to the events that led to this the horrific tragedy.

Based upon the details in the police report, the Atlanta Journal Constitution has written that Nancy may have been trying to leave Chris. Their article goes on to say that Nancy suspected that Chris was having an affair with a WWE Diva, Chris had bedroom performance issues due to his steroid use, there were arguments about the insurance policies of Chris's children, and that she left instructions with a neighbor to have Chris investigated if anything should happen to hear.

The Fayette Daily News has a time line of telephone action from the house that weekend. Phone records have shown that 411 directory assistance was called from the home the night Nancy was murdered. The requested number was for the police department. After that call was made, two calls were made from the house to Nancy's neighbor at around 9:30 PM, right around the time of her death. The next day, Chris called Delta airlines to get a later flight to get to his wrestling match.
