TNA Against All Odds Results (2/12)

The PPV begins with Jeff Hardy arriving at the Impact Zone.  They show a video package highlighting the competitors in tonight’s main event.  We go live to the impact zone with tonight’s commentators Mike Tenay and Jeremy Borash.  We then kick off with our opening match.

Jesse Sorensen vs Zema Ion

Zema Ion comes out first followed by Jesse Sorensen.  Sorensen giving a young fan at ringside his football.  Ion exits and tries to give away his hairspray.  Sorensen follows and the match is on Sorensen on the attack he throws Ion back in bridging suplex for a 2 count and he clotheslines Ion over the top rope. Sunset Flip for a 2 count.  Side roll for a third 2 count by Sorensen.  Hurricanarana by  Sorensen to the outside.  Sorensen follows with a baseball slide.  Ion throws Sorensen into the steps.  Ion throws him back in, going up top and a missile dropkick. Sorensen back to the outside and  Ion goes up to the top rope and connects with knees to Sorensen’s head.  Ion back in as the referee checks on Sorensen.  The referee back in counting Sorensen out and the referee calls for the bell.

Backstage: Christy Hemme is with Bobby Roode and Roode says how appropriate this PPV is named Against All Odds because the odds are definitely stacked against him.  He says he has become the most dominant World Champion and every night he’s walked in and walked out as champion and asked how many opportunities does Jeff Hardy need to try and take the title and fail.  He beat Storm for the title and will never be better than him.  Bully Ray turned on him but that’s fine because he sees a bit of selfishness in Ray. 

TV Title: Robbie E vs Shannon Moore

Robbie E takes the mic and says being the TV champion of all time he thought he’d do something special for Against All Odds and created the “Robbie E Invitational” and challenged anyone in the back and out comes Shannon Moore. Waistlock by Robbie, into a side headlock. Moore with the irish whip and a shoulderblock by Moore and Robbie exits the ring and grabs his belt. Moore chases after him and throws him back in.  Kick to the head by Moore but Robbie regains control.  Irish whip by Robbie and Moore with an armdrag.  Moore with a spin kick to Robbie. Whip by Moore reversed by Robbie and Moore catches him with his legs locked around Robbie’s neck. Takes him over, Moore on the apron and Robbie with the high knee and Moore hits the guardrail.  Back in the ring, back elbow by Robbie and a 2 count. Chinlock by Robbie.  Moore fights back whips Robbie in the corner and Robbie gets the boot up. Robbie on the middle rope, fist pump and drops the elbow cover for a 2 count.  Wear down hold again, Moore fighting back and a kick to the head by Moore. Irish whip by Robbie and Moore comes back with flying elbows. 2 count by Moore, running bulldog and back to the cover. Robbie T up on the apron, Moore with the running dropkick and Robbie to the outside, Moore with the Asai Moonsault on the champion. Moore throws him back in and a 2 count. Robbie whips in the corner, Moore with the elbow, up top misses a backflip and a running clothesline by Robbie.  Robbie up top but Moore cuts him off with a running dropkick. Moore up to the top and delivers a hurricanrana but 2 count only. Neckbreaker by Moore, countered by Robbie, Moore falls into the ropes and Robbie T connects and knocks Moore into Robbie who hit a DDT for the 3 count.

Knockouts Title: Tara vs Gail Kim

Tara starts out with the attack.  Hairmare by Tara on Gail.  Tara distracted by Madison Rayne and Gail clotheslines her.  Irish whip by Kim and Tara moves out of the way, Kim on the apron.  Tara charges and Kim delivers a boot to Tara.  Knee by Kim.  Kim with the irish whip and a clothesline to Tara in the corner.  Kim going up top connects with a missile dropkick.  Irish whip by Kim, Kim up to the top and a crossbody but 2 count only.  Leglock by Kim but Tara kicks her away.  Kim with an octopus style submission on Tara and Tara is down near the ropes causing a break of the hold.  Kim positions Tara up on the top turnbuckle and delivers a hurricanrana.  Tara with a comeback unleashing a series of clotheslines. Tara picks her up over the shoulders and a side slam but only gets a 2 count.  Kim up top and Tara punches her.  Tara up on top, and a backdrop to Kim.  Tara delivers a top rope moonsault and a 2 count.  Tara going for Widow’s Peak, Kim counters with a kneebreaker and hits Eat Defeat for the 3 count

Backstage: Christy Hemme is with James Storm and Storm said last time he had an opportunity for a shot at the World Title, he shocked the world by winning the title.  Tonight, it won’t be a shock and with Bobby Roode it’s all about revenge.

We throw to a video highlights leading up to tonight’s tag team title match

Tag Team Title: Crimson & Matt Morgan vs Samoa Joe & Magnus

Joe and Morgan start out for their respective teams.  Lock up and a side headlock by Joe.  Irish whip and a shoulderblock but Morgan doesn’t move.  Joe takes control with a kick and jabs.  Joe has Morgan in the corner and Magnus tags in  Morgan puts a wristlock on Morgan and tags Crimson in who kicks Magnus.  Magnus with a side headlock.  Crimson with the wristlock, irish whip, clothesline by Crimson.  European cravat by Crimson.  Magnus in the corner and Crimson tags back out to Morgan.  Suplex by Morgan but 2 count.  Morgan pushes Magnus back into the corner, tag to Crimson.  Joe with a hot shot onto Crimson snapping his neck off the top rope.  Magnus tags into Joe and  Joe puts the boots to Crimson.  Forearm shots by Crimson.  Inverted atomic drop by Joe, boot to the face by Magnus 2 count only.  Head smash into the turnbuckle, Joe tags in.  Headbutt by Joe, and a tag to Magnus.  Magnus with a punch and reverse chinlock on Crimson.  Crimson fights back, swing and a miss back suplex and a 2 count.  Tag into Joe, reverse knife edge chop in the corner.  Crimson comes back with strikes but Joe hits a powerslam.  Joe drags Crimson over, tag to Magnus, elbow drop on Crimson’s leg.  Cover and a 2 count.  Magnus tags Joe, irish whip, Crimson with the back elbow to Joe.  Crimson gets the tag.  Morgan comes in and punches Magnus who tagged in.  Morgan with a kneelift.  Whip in the corner, Magnus boot but Morgan picks him up, fall away slam, cover broken up by Joe.  The champions double shoulderblock on Joe.  Magnus whips Joe into Morgan in the corner, back splash, kick to the head.  Crimson goes for a spear on Joe, Joe moves, Crimson spears Morgan, Joe with the snapmare on Morgan, Magnus with the elbowdrop off the rope.  The cover for the 3 count

Backstage: Christy Hemme is with Bully Ray and gets his comments on tonight’s main event.  Ray grabs the mic and tells Christy to get lost.  He says he has Storm’s number, he’s had Hardy’s number for years and he is in Roode’s head.

X Division Title: Alex Shelley vs Austin Aries

Aries with a side headlock on Shelley taking him down.  Cartwheeling away, Aries showing off and Shelley goes in hitting knife edge chops to Aries.  Aries to the outside and Shelley with a dive onto Aries.  Shelley on the apron, neck snap to Aries.  Shelley with a slingshot and 2 count only.  Shelley going for the Sliced Bread but Aries avoids it and slides out.  Neck snap by Aries, slingshot and Shelley gets his knees up. Shelley clotheslines Aries over the top,  Aries going under the ring coming out from the other side hits a knee to Shelley and suicide dive to the outside.  Throws Shelley back in, slingshot 2 count.  Last Chancery by Aries back into the pin 2 count.  Snapmare and face stomp.  Back elbow to the shoulder by Aries, 2 count. Reverse chinlock by Aries, Shelley fighting back but Aries maintains control.  Playing to the crowd, going for the pendulum elbow, Shelley moves out of the way.  Shelley taking control, Shelley bouncing off the ropes, clotheslines Aries.  Kick by Shelley, Sliced Bread by Shelley countered by Aries.  Boot to Aries’ head, throws him head first into the turnbuckle and Shelley hits a knee to Aries head.  Aries outside, suicide dive by Alex Shelley into the guardrail. Tossing him back in, Shelley to the top, misses with the double foot stomps drives Aries into the mat with a slam, 2 count.  Shelley misses with the kick and Aries drops Shelley hits the pendulum elbow.  Brain buster countered with a knee by Shelley.  Aries runs into a boot.  Sliced Bread, stopped by Aries.  Going for it again and Aries slams his head into the turnbuckle.  Aries picks Shelley up over his shoulders drops him on the apron.  Shelley to the outside.  Double sledge by Aries.  Shelley back in, Aries with a 2 count. Aries to the top with a 450 but misses, Shelley kicks him, hits the Sliced Bread and a nearfall.  Quick roll up by Aries into a front facelock and knee strikes to the head.  Irish whip, running knee to Shelley.  Brain buster by Aries and 2 count.  Small package by Shelley, another small package.  Kicks by Shelley.  Sliced Bread countered by Aries and and Aries slams him.  Brainbuster by Aries, the Last Chancery submission hold and Shelley taps out.

Backstage:  Eric Bischoff says he resents Hulk Hogan for interfering.  But at the same time understands that Hogan’s been around this business a lonmg time.  He feels bad and that it may be his fault for putting Garrett in this situation.  Gunner then says he’s going to finish Garrett off tonight

Gunner with shoulderblocks in the corner.  Gunner holding Garrett and Garrett swings at Gunner.  Eric Bischoff hooking Garrett’s leg.  Gunner beating Garrett down. Garrett fights back, backslide by Garrett 2 count only.  Front facelock by Garrett. Roll up by Garrett, 2 count, inverted atomic drop.  Gunner with a clothesline to the back of the head.  Stomp on Garrett’s head.  Elbow and cover 2 count only. Gunner choking Garrett out.  Punches by Garrett, and a knee by Gunner.  Knee to the back of the neck.  Gunner working on the head and neck of Garrett.  Elbow across the throat. Slingshot suplex and 2 count by Gunner.  Garrett fights back and face plants Gunner. Neckbreaker by Gunner. TNA World Title: James Storm vs Bobby Roode vs Bully Ray vs Jeff Hardy

The special enforcer,  Sting comes out first.  Bully Ray is out first.  Out next is James Storm.  Third out is Jeff Hardy and last is the TNA World Champion, Bobby Roode.  Roode trying to get Bully Ray to work with him.  Storm and Hardy using Roode as punching back as Bully Ray exits the ring looking on from the rampway.  Faceplant by Hardy.  Clothesline by Storm.  Double irish whip, Hardy whips Storm into Roode, Storm hits a clothesline, Hardy off the turnbuckle runs across the ring and dropkicks Roode.  Hardy and Storm go after each other.  Nearfall, Roode on the top rope, Hardy and Storm slam him to the mat.  Ray trips  Hardy and Ray comes back in taking Roode out cover and Storm breaks it up.  Storm with a pin attempt on Roode.  Storm turns to Ray.  Clothesline, ducked and Storm and Roode double suplex Ray.  Slugfest between Roode and Storm.  Flying forearm by Storm, irish whip and Storm with the backdrop on Roode.  Hardy back in with the elbow and pin attempt on Roode.  Ray sneaks back in and drops Hardy with a boot.  Elbowdrop by Ray on Hardy, 2 count.  Ray keeping Storm out, back to Hardy and a backdrop.  Hardy mounts an offense.  Backdrop to Ray.  Ray puts Hardy in the tree of woe.  Places Hardy up on the top rope, Ray up on the top rope and a superplex by Ray.  2 count.  On the outside, Roode threw Storm into the steps.  Roode back in, Roode on the second rope.  Ray with the spike piledriver, Hardy counters double legdrop.  Double suplex by Hardy and Storm on Roode but Ray from behind and Ray hit the Tower Of Doom on all three opponents.  Cover on Roode, Cover on Hardy.  Side slam by Ray.  Twist Of Fate on Ray,  Roode plants Hardy face first.  Storm charging at Hardy, Ray intercepted,  Bubba Bomb by Ray.  Referee knocked out, Ray looking around, runs into a Twist Of Fate by Hardy.  Spear by Roode on Hardy.  Storm back up, looking for the Last Call cover on Roode and Ray pulls the referee out of the ring.  Storm looking to hit Ray but he takes Hebner out instead.  Spinebuster by Ray, Hardy Twist Of Fate on Roode.  Swanton off the top and Roode rolls to the outside.  Roode bringing the belt into the ring, Sting in the ring grabbing the belt from Roode.  Roode getting in Sting’s face.  Roode daring Sting to hit him.  Sting swings the belt, Roode ducks and Sting nails Hardy.  Roode covers Hardy and Sting delivers the 3 count.
