The Rock Says "I Quietly Retired From Wrestling"

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson appeared on Live With Kelly & Ryan earlier this week to promote the release of his new movie Hobbs & Shaw, a spinoff off from the successful Fast & Furious franchise.

Former WrestleMania performer Maria Menounos was coincidentally enough filling in for Kelly Rippa on the episode. So of course, the two began discussing professional wrestling.

Here is Dwayne's response when asked if he misses the wrestling business.

“I miss wrestling. I love wrestling. I quietly retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have a really wonderful career, and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. There’s nothing like a live crowd, a live audience, a live microphone…”

The Rock last appeared in a WWE ring at WrestleMania 32, where he was to announce the companies breaking of their all-time attendance record. He was interrupted by The Wyatt Family and competed in a 6-second match against Rowan before John Cena made a surprise return and assisted The Rock in handling The Wyatts.

Posted below is a video from the interview:
