Former WWE Superstar Tye Dillinger has said he once pitched a feud between him and then NXT Champion Bobby Roode that would've seen the Perfect 10 win the gold.
Despite being billed as the Perfect 10, Dillinger gained a fan following due to often coming up short in matches despite impressive performances.
Speaking on the Edge and Christian podcast, Dillinger said how he aimed to win the title and lose it days later at the next taping.
"It wasn’t about the title – it was about the climb, it was about the journey through and accomplishing it," he said.
"I can’t remember exactly what it was but I just thought we had a really good feel-good story."
Dillinger never held gold in WWE and announced his requested release on Twitter on March 1, 2019.
