Dakota Kai's Recent MRI Reveals Torn ACL, Out For 6-9 Months

During last Friday's NXT Live event in Green Bay, Wisconsin, NXT star Dakota Kai was reported to have sustained an injury to her leg.

She was competing in a match teaming with Kairi Sane and Candice LeRae vs. NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.

It was unknown at the time the extent of the injury, but she was seen struggling out of the arena with assistance.

In an update today, Dave Meltzer noted on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Kai had an MRI on Monday and the results are not looking great. It is believed she has torn her ACL, which has a long road to recovery. She will no doubt out of in-ring action for the next 6-9 months.
