WWE Suspends Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore Over Rape Allegation

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore has been suspended by WWE following an investigation by police in Arizona for an alleged rape of a woman in a hotel room last year. 

WWE issued the following statement on Amore's suspension:

“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving sexual harassment or sexual assault. Until this matter is resolved, Eric Arndt (aka Enzo Amore) has been suspended.”

A woman on Twitter known as 'MissGucciwitch' publicly accused the WWE Superstar of rape. The incident is alleged to have taken place in October 2017 in a hotel where she claims Enzo restrained her before he raped her.
