The Latest on Daniel Bryan's Future in WWE

As seen on recent episodes of WWE SmackDown Live, WWE seems to be building towards some sort of rivalry between SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon and SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan.

Despite the fact that WWE seems to be hinting at a possible feud between them, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Daniel Bryan's medical situation has not changed as far as WWE is concerned. Although Bryan has visited a number of doctors and specialists who have reportedly cleared him to wrestle, WWE's doctors (Dr. Joseph Maroon in particular) still have not given Bryan the okay to return to action inside of a WWE ring.

WWE could very well be leading to a Shane-Bryan feud, but the chances are slim to none that it will lead to Bryan's WWE in-ring return.

It should also be noted that Bryan apparently still fully intends on returning to the ring once his WWE contract expires, as long as none of his doctors or specialists advise him not to.
