United States Title Match Canceled on Tonight's SmackDown

On tonight's episode of SmackDown Live, WWE United States Champion A.J. Styles was set to defend the U.S. Title against "The Lone Wolf" Baron Corbin.

During the pre-match introductions, Corbin attacked Styles from behind in order to gain the advantage, which led to Tye Dillinger coming out to the ring and attacking Corbin. During the attack, Corbin seemed to suffer some sort of ankle injury and repeatedly told the referee that he didn't want to compete for the title. Styles then attacked Corbin and locked him in the Calf Crusher, but the referee never started the match.

No word on whether or not a future U.S. Title Match between Styles and Corbin will be scheduled at a later date.
