The Reason WWE SummerSlam Kickoff Crowd Was Empty

You may have noticed that during last night's WWE Summerslam kickoff show at the Barclays Center there was a very small crowd inside. The reason for this was due to arena security running a tight operation and only letting around 20-30 fans into each door at a time.

They would also allow those in the lobby to pass right through before letting more fans in which slowed the flow right down. In addition, they were also requiring fans to show tickets before they could even get into the doors. Throughout the kickoff show WWE was showing shots of the huge crowds outside the arena.

Arena and stadium security across the United States has been increased following the global terror threat from ISIS. WWE events have reportedly been considered a target for a number of years. WWE is also taking no chances when it comes to the safety of their fans, especially following the Manchester Arena bombing in England which killed 22 and left hundreds injured.
