The Simple Reason Why WWE Continues To Push Roman Reigns

Love or loath him, it's now clear Roman Reigns is on course to become WWE's next top Superstar and the reason why he is being pushed into that position despite the negative response from fans on a weekly basis is quite simple - Reigns is a 'cash cow' for the company.

Roman Reigns is now selling more merchandise than any full-time wrestler now that Cena is a part-timer, so he is excluded and will be taking more time off from WWE as he transitions into TV and movie roles. WWE needs a new Superstar to take the helm and Reigns is that guy in terms of revenue.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted recently that Reigns does not sell close to Cena’s merch but it’s still significant enough for Vince McMahon to be behind him and see his potential as the next top Superstar to replace Cena.
