Impact Wrestling *SPOILERS* For March 9, 2017

Below are full spoilers from Thursday night's Impact Wrestling television taping, which will air on March 9th on POP TV:

--Jeremy Borash comes to the ring and announces to the fans that there will be a new on-air announcer - Borash himself! He tells Josh Mathews that the new management wants someone at the announce table that the fans actually like. He then begins bashing Mathews for disrespecting fans and legends before saying that it's time to change things up. Borash says that Mike Tenay was the one who mentored him to be the next announcer in the company, but then someone got fired from WWE and "the dummy old owners" decided to hire Mathews. Mathews then says that he "sat under the learning tree of Jim Ross" and called WrestleMania before coming to TNA Wrestling for free. Borash responds by saying that he's friends with J.R., and that J.R. thinks Mathews sucks.

--Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards begin brawling into the arena and the crowd.

--Cody comes out and asks the fans if they want to see him take on Moose tonight.

--Reno Scum defeated Bram and Eddie Kingston. Before the match started, dissension within DCC is teased.

--Branton Sutter defeated DJ Z, Marshe Rockett, and Caleb Konley in a Fatal 4 Way Match. Following the match, Laurel Van Ness cam out and yelled at Allie.

--The match between Brandi Rhodes and KC Quinn never began, as Cody prevented it from happening. Cody offered KC $45 and told her that it was $20 more than she would have gotten paid by the company, and told her to leave. Cody then says that Moose claims he in Japan, but then says that Cody IS Japan. Cody then challenges Moose to a match for the Impact Grand Championship. Afterward, Rosemary comes in from the crowd and attacks KC Quinn.

--Bruce Prichard comes to the ring. He says that there was an impact with hope a few years ago, but for some reason, it never happened. He then announces that the "TNA" name is officially dead and that going forward, the company will only be known as Impact Wrestling. Prichard says that the company's new owners have looked for people who have achieved greatness in the past and that he has been there through it all. He then says he knows how to make wrestling great and that he also certainly knows how to make an impact. Prichard says the most important is to know who the face of the company is, and he then brings out Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley. Lashley says he has beaten everyone in the company and was even the official choice for President of the United States. Prichard then says he doesn't know if there is anyone left on the Impact Wrestling roster who can defeat Lashley, but Alberto De Patron (former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio) makes his way to the ring, followed by EC3. EC3 says that he has carried Impact Wrestling for years on his "perfectly symmetrical back" and that De Patron needs to actually earn his shot at the championship. Lashley says that EC3 has already lost to him, so he won't be getting a shot. Prichard then books Lashley vs. De Patron for the title later on in the show.

--Dutch Mantell (former WWE manager Zeb Colter) comes to the ring. He says he's back in Impact Wrestling because eight years ago, the company was great and he wants to help make it great again. Mantell says guys like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Sting, Kurt Angle, Bobby Roode, Christian, and Kevin Nash all used to be there, but then left, and it was all due to a lack in leadership, vision, and respect. He says the biggest issue, however, was that the fans left. Mantell then says he wants to bring the fans back, that he's there to provide advice, and that he only answers to his one boss - the fans. He says this incarnation of Impact Wrestling will be given back to the fans. He then asks everyone to stand and say "We the People...will make Impact great!"

--Cody comes out and again calls out Moose. Jeremy Borash reminds him that Moose is in Japan. Cody then sits in the ring for a few minutes before leaving.

--Sienna defeated Rachael Ellering

--Garza Jr. and Laredo Kid defeated Eli Drake and Tyrus

--Alberto De Patron defeated Bobby Lashley to become the new Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. The match saw a bit of controversy in the form of two referees arguing over who the champion actually was at the end of the match. Additionally, Bruce Prichard and other Impact Wrestling officials attempted to resolve the situation as De Patron left with the belt.
