Brock Lesnar Recalls The Mid-Flight Match With Curt Hennig On The Infamous “Plane Ride From Hell”

Brock Lesnar continued his media appearances promoting his upcoming appearance at UFC 200 with an interview on ESPN’s Highly Questionable. You can watch the video below, along with some highlights:

* Lesnar talked about the last time he got into a fight that wasn’t professional, telling a story about how he ordered some drinks at the bar for a public function. He turned around for a second and when he turned back, someone was taking them. He told the person that they were his drinks and got brushed off, so Lesnar took the drinks from him and started to walk away. The man then proceeded to smash Lesnar over the head with his own drinks. Lesnar said that the incident “ended very quickly” after than and that someone went to sleep, which wasn’t him. He also said that he got his older brother to stop picking on him at nineteen by “kicking his ass.”

* When asked about the part in his book where he didn’t remember two years of his life with WWE, Lesnar talked about the injuries he went through early in his wrestling career and that he struggled with being on the road, where you have to deal with hotels, car rentals and the like. He said that he felt like a hamster on a treadmill, and he’s thankful now that he can work the part-time schedule he has.

* Lesnar was also asked about the infamous “plane ride from hell,” in which he got into a drunken wrestling match with Curt Hennig while other crazy incidents unfolded around them like Ric Flair flashing flight attendants in nothing but his robe, Scott Hall sexually harrassing attendants and then passing out and Michael Hayes busting open JBL. Lesnar said that it was a seven hour flight overseas and there was nothing to do but get in trouble or pass out, and they did both. He referred to his fight with Hennig as “whiskey wrestling” and said he doesn’t remember much because he was drunk and high. He just remembered getting in trouble after they landed.

* Lesanar was asked what the most romantic thing he’s ever done for his wife Rena (Sable) was and said that he took her on a tropical vacation after their son turned a year old. He told Sable to leave the wedding band at home so it didn’t get stolen, and their son ended up swallowing it. Sable tried to search through their son’s waste to find the ring but couldn’t locate it. Lesnar but her a new ring and gave it to her a couple days later on when they renewed their vows for their five-year anniversary.
