WWE have been thrown into somewhat of a tricky situation with the news that Seth Rollins is now out of action with a torn ACL leaving the WWE Championship scene lacking some serious depth.
As we have already previously reported, Brock Lesnar and John Cena were scheduled to return in December. Contractually Lesnar has a set number of dates he is scheduled to appear and Cena is out filming a new reality series for FOX.
Randy Orton is of course also injured with Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reporting that WWE are trying to get Lesnar to agree to more dates, including this Monday's Raw which would likely mean having to negotiate an extra appearance fee.
In the case of Cena, he would only be permitted to appear if his filming schedule didn't clash with Raw.Â
Rollins injury certainly changes the landscape as he was scheduled to be in the Championship picture until WrestleMania 32 next year. Raw is also struggling with ratings of late so having top names appear on Monday will be priority number one for WWE.
