BREAKING NEWS: NXT Brand To Replace WWE SmackDown From Fall 2015

The official WWE website today announced that the NXT Brand which airs currently on the WWE Network will replace the SmackDown brand which has been on air since 1999.

WWE officials are believed to have taken the decision to end SmackDown after 15 years on the air because they felt the brand had run it's natural course and will be looking in a new direction with an alternative to their flagship Monday Night Raw.

The move will happen toward the fall of 2015.
