WWE NXT TakeOver: Revolution Results

We open with a video package hyping all the wrestlers on tonight’s show, including Kevin Owens

NXT comes to us live from Full Sail University located in Orlando, Florida.

Broadcasting note: Corey Graves makes his debut tonight as a NXT announcer; this was announced on the Pre-Show. He joins Alex Riley and Rich Brennan.

We start with Kevin Owens coming to the ring. Owens looks like he is very emotional. His opponent is CJ Parker.

Kevin Owens vs. CJ Parker

Kevin Owen starts with two huge clotheslines in the corner. He then does a summersault flip into the corner on Parker. Owens then flips over the top rope onto CJ Parker outside. Owens throws Parker back into the ring. Parker tries to fight back but gets in little offense. Parker does get the upper hand as he kicks Owens on the mat. They exchange some blows, Parker hits the power strike and goes for a pin and gets a two count. Owens hits a huge lariat, then picks Parker up and hits a huge move no one knows the name for, he then hits a huge power bomb and get the pin for the win. (Note: Owens was busted open)

The announcers re-cap the match; they talk about how emotional Kevin Owens was. Corey Graves announces again he has retired due to concussions.

We see the Adrian Neville interview he had with Michael Cole last week.

A video package hypes the Lucha Dragons and their journey so far in NXT. The video focuses allot on Lucha style wrestling. The Tag team champions are introduced to the ring. Out next are the challengers the Vaudevillains.

Lucha Dragons vs. The Vaudevillains NXT Tag Team Championship

Gotch and Sin Cara start in the ring. They exchange some go behind moves. Sin cara hits a flip off the ropes onto Gotch. English enters but gets thrown out. Kalisto is tagged in. He hits a wheel barrel senton and goes for a pin, he gets a two count and tags Sin Cara back in. Sin Cara hits a power bomb goes for the pin and gets a two count. Gotch flips Sin Cara but close to the ropes and English pulls him to the outside. He throws Sin Cara back in and goes for a pin, he gets a two count. He hits some punches goes for another cover and gets another two count. English tags Gotch back in and gets another two count as he goes for pin. Gotch does some mat wrestling then tags English again. Sin Cara hits an elbow when English throws him into the corner. They fight to the outside then back in, Gotch gets tagged back in. Gotch hits a side slam goes for the pin and gets a one count. Gotch tags English. English hits a knee to the head then some kicks and gets a one count. English places Sin cara on the top rope and Sin Cara jumps over English and gets the tag to Kalisto. Kalisto hits some high impact moves. Gotch and English both go to the outside. The Lucha Dragons dive over the top rope and take out English. Back in the ring Kalisto hits the SDL on Gotch and gets the pin for the win

Winners: Lucha Dragons

Out next is Tye Dillinger, his opponent is Baron Corbin. The announcers talk about how quick he ends matches and his record setting times.

Tye Dillinger vs. Baron Corbin

The crowd starts to count when the bell rings. They lock up, Dillinger gets some slaps in, but Corbin picks him up and throws him into the corner. Corbin hits the end of days and we see Bull Dempsy watching on.

Winner: Baron Corbin

After the match we have a stare down between Corbin and Dempsey.

We got to the back where we see Zayn, a split screen shows his interview with Michael Cole.

A video package re-caps the history between Hideo Itami, Finn Balor and the Ascension.

Out first comes Ascension. Hideo Itami is next. Finn Balor comes out with his Venom body paint, he looks awesome. The fans are chanting “holly shit”. Balor slithers to the ring, the crowd loves this. The broadcast crew is silent.

Hideo Itami & Finn Balor vs. the Ascension

All four men start in the ring. Itami and Balor get the upper hand. They hit twin corner drop kicks on the members of Ascension. Viktor and Itami are in the ring and Itami hits a huge kick and gets a two count. Itami tags Balor, Balor hits some huge slaps goes for a cover gets a two count. Viktor fights back and tags Konnor. Balor hits a counter on Connor and gets the tag to Itami. Itami hits some kicks he then goes running in and Konnor hits the flapjack, he goes for the pin and gets a two count. Konnor tags Viktor, Viktor goes for another pin gets another two count. He tags Konnor again who hits a clothesline and gets another two count. They continue to beat Itami down. Viktor goes for another pin, gets a two count. Itami tries to fight back but is in the Ascension corner. Konnor is tagged back in. Konnor goes for a cover and gets a two count. Riley says he does not know if Itami can speak English. Viktor continues the beat down of Itami. Viktor goes for another pin and gets a two count. Viktor puts a reverse chin lock on Itami. Viktor tags Konnor again. He goes for a pin and gets a two count. Viktor is tagged back in and he kicks and stomps Itami, goes for another pin and gets another two count. Itami almost gets a pin but Viktor puts him in the corner. Itami avoids Viktor but can’t get the tag because Konnor takes out Balor. Viktor tags Konnor in, Itami gets the upper hand and tags Balor. Balor jumps off from the rope and kicks Connor. Balor gets an elbow from Viktor. Balor hits a kick knocking Victor to the outside. Balor goes flying to the outside and takes out Ascension. Balor throws Viktor in the ring, goes to the top rope but misses the double stomp. Balor goes for a brain buster suplex, Konnor breaks up the pin attempt. Victor hits the STO and Itami breaks up the pin fall. Viktor takes the Pele kick from Balor. Itami comes back in and hits a running drop kick on Konnor. They hit a double foot stomp, and Balor gets the pin on Viktor for the win.

Backstage Rene Young interviews Roman Reigns. Reigns talk about his superstar of the year award. There is a lot of boo’s from the live crow.

Backstage we see Charlotte talking to her father Ric Flair. A video re-caps the history between Charlotte and Sasha banks.

Sasha Banks makes her way to the ring, no Becky Lynch. Charlotte comes out next.

Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks NXT Womans Championship

We start off Sasha backing away into the ropes then slapping Charlotte. Charlotte throws Sasha into the corner and hits some slaps. Sasha gets the upper hand and does some chops of her own. Charlotte reverses it and chops Sasha hard. Sasha rolls outside, Charlotte follows and gets kicked in the side by Sasha. Sasha then throws Charlotte into the ring post. Sasha rolls Charlotte back into the ring. Sasha goes for the cover and gets a two count. Sasha chokes Charlotte with her foot, Charlotte fights back with some chops. Sasha fights back beating Charlotte down in the corner. Sasha hits a double knee, goes for a pin and gets a two count. Sasha does the Flair strut and then goes for a slap but Charlotte rolls her up and gets a two count. They both hit some reversals and Sasha puts on a submission move. Charlotte escapes and tries to fight back Sasha flips Charlotte over by her hair, goes for the pin and gets a two count. Sasha puts on the figure four head lock. Charlotte comes back and hits a move called the electric chair. Both women are on the mat for the ten counts. Both women are back to their feet and Charlotte hits a huge chop. Charlotte then hits a neck breaker and gets a two count. Charlotte rolls to the outside; Sasha hits a huge dive thru the ropes taking out Charlotte, as the crowd chants “NXT”. Sasha rolls Charlotte back in and gets a two count. They exchange blows, Charlotte hits a huge spear, Charlotte does a complete 360. Sasha trips Charlotte into the bottom turn buckle, she goes for the bank statement but Charlotte escapes and puts the figure four on but Sasha escapes. They exchange pin fall attempts. Charlotte throws Sasha across the ring. The crowd chants “this is wrestling”. Charlotte goes for a flip but lands on her feet, she hits a senton on Sasha and goes for the pin and gets a two count. Sasha gets Charlotte onto the top turn buckle and goes for a suplex but Charlotte blocks her and drops her on her stomach. Charlotte hits the “natural selection” from the top rope. She gets the three count for the win

A video recaps the long history between Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville

Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring, to great crowd reaction. Adrian Neville is out next to a fair amount of boo’s.

Adrian Neville vs. Sami Zayn for the NXT Championship (if Zayn loses his career is over).

We start off with both men just staring at each other while the crowd chants “let’s go Sami”. Both men finally lock up with Neville getting Sami on the mat. Both men are back to their feet, Zayn and Neville both hit some reverses. They lock up again, Neville goes behind and takes Zayn down, and tries to wear Zayn out. Back to their feet they again share some arm bars and Neville gets Zayn back to the mat. Zayn escapes and Neville flips out of the attempted arm bar by Zayn. They continue the slow paced mat wrestling. Zayn hits a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Neville rolls to the outside, but Zayn hits a huge back flip from the ring apron onto Neville. Neville takes the full ten count to get back in but takes a huge drop kick from Zayn who gets a two count. Zayn continues to have the advantage. Neville hits a clothesline and goes for the pin and gets a one count. Neville hits a drop kick to the back of the head of Zayn and gets a two count. Neville wears Zayn down with a rear chin lock. Neville hits a huge uppercut and gets another two count. He hits a couple high impact moves and gets a two count. Neville again applies the reverse chin lock. Neville hits another drop kick and gets a two count. Both competitors hit flips to the outside, huge impact moves by both wrestlers. Zayn hits Neville back in the ring and goes for a cross body, he gets a two count. Zayn goes for a suplex but Neville reverses. Zayn hits a sit down power bomb goes for the pin but gets a two count. They exchange some blows (internet went out), when we’re back Neville hits a huge kick. Neville hits the red arrow. Zayn then puts Neville in a submission move, but Neville gets to the ropes. The ref and Neville collide Zayn goes for a roll up. Neville hits a big kick, goes for the pin but somehow Sami Kicks out. The announcers talk about how Samis compassion almost cost him. They are both back to their feet and exchange blows. Sami hits a suplex and holds on for another, he holds on and goes for a third but hits a huge throw instead. Sami goes for a kick but Neville rolls out to the floor. Sami runs and hits diving DDT onto the cement floor and rolls Neville back in. Sami goes for a kick but the ref pulls the Ref into the way, the crowd chants “this ref sucks” as Sami checks on him. Neville gets the title belt, he goes to hit Zayn but Zayn kicks him hard. Zayn goes to hit Neville with the belt but hesitates, and throws the belt to the outside. Neville goes for a roll up and gets a three. Zayn hits the suplex in the corner then hits his finishing kick, and gets the three count for the win.

Winner: Sami Zayn and new NXT Champion

The announcers re-cap the match as Zayn celebrates. The crowd chants “thank you Neville”. The whole locker-room comes out to congratulate Sami Zayn. Kevin Owens is the first out, he and Zayn both share tears. Pat Patterson is also out there to celebrate. Everyone steps to one side as Neville approaches Zayn. Zayn puts his hand out for a handshake, but Neville kicks it out of the way and grabs Zayn and gives him a huge hug. Zayn continues to celebrate. As we go off the air Riley once again congratulates Corey Graves on Joining the broadcasting team. Kevin Owens comes back out and attacks Sami Zayn. He power bombs Zayns head right of the edge of the ring apron. Regal comes out totally upset. Regal yells for help as we go off the air.
