Jeff Jarrett Reportedly Involved In Physical Altercation On Sunday

The Examiner is reporting that at Sunday night's IWA Mid-South event, Jeff Jarrett got involved in a physical altercation with 17-year-old John Calvin, the son of IWA Mid-South promoter Ian Rotten. The report states that Jarrett was upset about not receiving the amount of pay that he was promised.

The report further states that Jarrett was given half of his pay at the show and was promised that he would receive the remaining amount "in two to three days." This allegedly enraged Jarrett to the point where he began cursing out many individuals in the locker room before turning his attention to Calvin. Jarrett allegedly, according to sources, either slapped Calvin's glasses off of him or took them and tried to "hold them hostage to the point of breaking them." Jarrett eventually calmed down.

Rotten had the following to say about the situation:

"Jeff and Karen Jarrett were both intoxicated. I have a locker room full of people to back me up on that."

Rotten also offered these further comments regarding the alleged assault on his son by Jarrett:

"Jeff Jarrett will get his money in a couple of days as promised and he can use it for a defense attorney because I will be going to the sheriff tomorrow (Monday) to swear out a warrant for assault on a minor."

One IWA Mid-South wrestler (who asked not to be identified) also commented on the situation, stating that at one point, Jarrett was "out of control" while also being egged on by his wife Karen, who reportedly threatened to go to the ring and "expose" Rotten while Drake Younger was taking part in an interview, as rumors still swirl that Rotten still owes money promised to talent from past shows, with a number of independent talent vowing to no longer work for Rotten again after not receiving what they were promised.

The Examiner notes that attempts to reach both Jeff and Karen Jarrett have thus far been unsuccessful.
