Report: NBCUniversal Looking To Fund Physical WWE Hall of Fame?

The New York Post is reporting that NBCUniversal is keen to retain rights to WWE programming on SyFy and USA channels and as a sweetener to encourage WWE to stay, they are considering funding a physical WWE Hall of Fame building at Universal Studios theme park in Orlando.

WWE are believed to be asking a much higher rate to stay, some reports suggest double what Universal pay them now.

WWE, in a statement, said, “WWE is the hottest property on cable and a proven ratings juggernaut. However, we are in an exclusive negotiating window until the end of next week.”
