Brock Lesnar's return to WWE on Monday night was kept a secret backstage according to The Wrestling Observer. The details of Lesnar's return was not revealed to most backstage, so the ending of Raw would come off as a genuine surprise when Lesnar F5' CM Punk. The only people who were inside on what was planned were John Cena, CM Punk, Vince McMahon, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

WWE also kept Lesnar away from the arena until 9:30PM ET so nobody could leak the information online and spoil the surprise for the viewing audience. WWE is planning to feature Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk at the Summerslam PPV in August from Los Angeles and not at next month's Money in the Bank PPV.
