We re-cap the events from last Monday with Stephanie McMahon’s announcement that she would not allow Triple H to compete. And Raw this week kicks off with Triple H coming out to the ring.
Triple H vs Curtis Axel
Triple H unloads on Axel. Suplex to Axel and just as Triple H was about to go to work on Axel. Vince McMahon’s music hits. Triple H with an side headlock. Axel reverses it into an irish whip and shoulderblock to Triple H and Triple H is sent over the top rope to the floor. Vince tells the timekeeper to ring the bell and announce Curtis Axel as the winner by disqualification. An incensed Triple H orders the match restarted. Triple H with the side headlock and McMahon makes his way back out to ringside. Shoulderblock by Triple H and the bell again rings with the announcement that the winner by forfeit is Curtis Axel. The match is then restarted as a 60 minute iron man match. McMahon then tells Axel he’s already won and orders him to leave the ring. McMahon takes the bell and walks up the ramp to the back.

Backstage: Triple H is livid and tells Stephanie what Vince did was wrong and Stephanie says she knows and begs Triple H not to hurt him. Triple H tells Stephanie to go talk to him because if Triple H does, Vince won’t like what he has to say or how he says it.
Kane vs Dean Ambrose
Ambrose goes to work on Kane. Kane misses with a clothesline but hits the big boot. Dropkick to the face by Kane. Shoulder tackles by Ambrose in the corner. Kane catches Ambrose off the irish whip and delivers a backbreaker. Kneedrop to the back and another boot to Ambrose. Hard irish whip in the corner. Kane with another backbreaker. Ambrose with a hadbutt. Ambrose sent through the ropes to the outside and Kane right after him. Ambrose runs into a right hand

Ambrose in control with an inverted facelock on Kane. Kane trying to fight back. Ambrose with a dropkick to Kane. Ambrose on the second rope. Kane catches him by the throat. Ambrose counters. Kane throws him off the top. Ambrose goes after the legs. Tilt o whirl backbreaker by Kane. Sunset flip by Ambrose. Kane with the sidewalk slam. Kane goes to the top rope. Ambrose cuts him off.Kane with a headbutt sends Ambrose to the mat. Kane with the flying clothesline. Ambrose slides out of the ring just as Kane was about to hit the chokeslam and Rollins and Reigns attack from behind prompting Bryan and Orton to run out to even up the odds

Backstage: Orton and Bryan are arguing as Kane plays the role of peacemaker. Vickie comes in and books Orton and Bryan in a tag team match against The Shield at Payback. Vickie then comes back in and says she didn’t forget about Kane and books him in a US Title Match against Dean Ambrose at Payback. Kane then hugs her and she screams and runs off

Miz vs Cody Rhodes
Kneelift and boot to the face by Miz. Running clothesline in the corner. Miz off the top rope, misses and Rhodes with a chop block and elbow drops onto the leg. Suplex by Rhodes. Rhodes works on the leg. Kick by Rhodes to the leg. Miz rolls through and rolls Rhodes up. Miz with a figure four for the tap out

Post Match: Paul Heyman comes out and informs Miz and Wade Barrett that even though Fandango will not be able to compete at Payback, there WILL be a triple threat match for the intercontinental championship and the third competitor is Curtis Axel. Axel comes out and says the Perfect ending to the match this Sunday will be him, Curtis Axel. The new intercontinental champion.

Backstage: Stephanie is trying to talk to Vince and tells him she knows he was just trying to protect Triple H but what he did was embarrassing and Vince walked all over him. Vince says he heard what Triple H and Stephanie said. He doesn’t care about Triple H’s pride, he cares about WWE business. Business comes first and you do what is right for business every single time. Stephanie then asks if Vince would talk to Triple H and Vince used Triple H’s own words against him saying if he did, Triple H wouldn’t like what he had to say or how he says it.
Chris Jericho comes out and says he’s faced some of the greatest performers on Raw over the years but the man who takes him to the limit night in and night out every time is the man he’s facing this Sunday at Payback. CM Punk. Jericho says Punk is the best because he actually believes he’s the best in the world and runs down the list of similarities between himself and Punk. And this Sunday, Punk/Jericho 3 continues the trilogy. Jericho says he has to win this Sunday but no matter which one of them wins, one thing is for sure neither of them will ever be the same. Dolph Ziggler then comes out with AJ and Big E Langston and says when the World Title was almost taken away it wasn’t fair and it’s obvious no one ever wanted him to have the belt. And says he’s the best and is going to prove it this Sunday against Alberto Del Rio. Jericho says they should have a match so he can get rid of the ring rust. Ziggler accepts and has Langston step in for him

Big E.Langston working over Jericho. Jericho gets to his feet trying to mount some offense. Langston tossed over the top rope to the outside. Baseball slide to Langston. Langston throws Jericho into the ring steps. Jericho back in the ring. Shoulder tackles in the corner by Langston. Irish whip by Langston and he misses hitting the ring post. Shoulder tackle to Jericho. Langston on the receiving end of a series of chops. Langston misses with a clothesline. Kick to the back of the head by Jericho and a dropkick. Langston delivers a series of backbreaker. Jericho with a crossbody from the top rope. Langston with another shoulder tackle. Del Rio runs down and attacks Ziggler. Jericho hits the Codebreaker for the three count

Double stomp on Sin Cara. Cesaro back to the chinlock. Sin Cara off the irish whip into a sunset flip. Kick to the face and Sin Cara from the top rope caught by Cesaro and Cesaro hits a backbreaker. Neutralizer by Cesaro for the three count

Knee to Orton. Reigns unloading but not for long as Orton turns the tables. Dropkick to Reigns. Reigns and Orton taking the match to the outside and Orton bounces Reigns spine first off the barricade. Reigns and Orton back in the ring. Stomps by Orton, Orton misses with the kneedrop. Reigns in control picks Orton up and measures him with a right hand. Orton misses with the clothesline but connects with the Thesz Press. Orton with the 10 punch. Irish whip by Reigns and he runs into a boot. Reigns with a right hand knocks Orton from the top rope to the floor

Reigns with a chinlock on Orton. Orton to his feet fighting back and Orton lands a headbutt. Orton hung up on the top rope. Clothesline by Reigns. Back suplex by Orton. Orton with a series of clotheslines and a powerslam.Orton misses with a clothesline. Reigns goes for a samoan drop, Orton counters and hits the backbreaker. Orton hooks Reigns up and hits the draping DDT. Rollins from behind as Orton throws him to the outside. Bryan with a suicide dive to the outside.

Rollins unloads on Bryan in the corner. Bryan with a clothesline to Rollins. Series of kicks Rollins and an uppercut. Kneelift to Rollins. Elbow smashes to the side of the head by Bryan. Bryan looking for the surfboard but Rollins gets to the ropes. Baseball slide to the outside and boot to the face takes Rollins out. Rollins thrown back in. Rollins with shoulder tackles in the corner. Rollins looking for the surfboard. Bryan counters with his own surfboard. Bryan has a modified Dragon Sleeper on Rollins

Rollins with a chinlock on Bryan. Bryan fighting back but Rollins hits a shoulderblock. Back to the chinlock goes Rollins. An exchange between Rollins and Bryan. Rollins goes for a kick to the head but Bryan catches him turning it into a single leg Boston Crab. Running dropkick across the ring. Kick to the head by Rollins. German suplex but Bryan lands on his feet. Rollins with a powerbomb in the corner. Rollins sent to the floor. Rollins nails Bryan, Roll through into a cover by Bryan. Kick to the side of the head by Bryan. Bryan goes to the top but Rollins cuts him off. Bryan and Rollins on the top rope. Rollins counters a back superplex into a crossbody. Reigns looking to get involved. Orton takes Reigns’ feet out from under him as Bryan rolls Rollins up for the three count.

Kaitlyn is in the ring awaiting her secret admirer. Big E. Langston comes out with a bouquet of flowers. Langston takes the mic. He says he knows it’s unexpected and this hard for him. People see him as a big tough guy but he cares about more than that. He cares about her. He says he doesn’t blame Kaitlyn for being skeptical but ever since he first met her she was all he could think about. He leans in and dips her then let’s her fall. AJ comes out and asks how Kaitlyn feels now because it’s exactly how she felt when Kaitlyn abandoned her. AJ says she felt like a piece of glass broken and shattered. Kaitlyn calls her crazy and AJ says no she’s smart. Kaitlyn may be able to beat AJ in the ring but AJ can beat her mentally. AJ says no one cares about Kaitlyn. A fight breaks out as AJ slides out of the ring to the outside laughing as she skips back up the ramp

Sandow runs into an elbow. Clothesline to Truth. Sandow with a series of elbows to Truth. Truth sent to the outside. Snapmare and a knee to the back by Sandow. Side Russian legsweep by Sandow, follows it up with the Cobito Acquiet. Dropkick and clotheslines by Truth. Front suplex by Truth. Sandow with the Silencer for the three count

Post Match: Sheamus comes out to congratulate Sandow on his match. Most importantly though he came out because Sandow got his attention last week and now he has a match on the Payback kick off and says what better way to kick off Payback than to kick Sandow’s head off.
Backstage: Stephanie McMahon requests that Vince McMahon and Triple H be found and told she wants to see them in their office

Backstage: Vince and Triple H are in the office and they begin arguing until Stephanie steps in and tells them to work it out. Triple H wants an apology. Vince says Triple H is bigger than that. He doesn’t need a match with Curtis Axel. And he wants more for Triple H and says he’s a giver and gives him his match next week. Triple H says Vince is right he doesn’t want the match and Vince says he’d like to see it. Stephanie calls for a group hug.
Ryback comes out but stands at the top of the ramp. Cena tells Ryback to waddle down to the ring. Ryback says he’s not afraid of Cena and can tear through all the lumberjacks and everyone in the arena. He says he deserves to be WWE Champion and should be WWE Champion three times over. He says his the problem was Ryback became too good too fast. And Cena did damage control. Cena had his back only when it suited him. Cena tells Ryback to shut up and says he never had a guardian angel. And tells Ryback to stop with his conspiracy theories and he’s always blaming everyone but himself and he’s so full of excuses. Cena says Sunday he’s walking into hell but walking out as WWE Champion. Ryback says Cena is full of crap and the legend of John Cena ends on Sunday when he finally becomes WWE Champion. Eight months ago, Cena gave Ryback his spot. This Sunday, Ryback is taking Cena’s spot. Cena says this Sunday pay back is a bitch for one of them and looksto run up the ramp to go after Ryback but the lumberjacks stop him. Ryback runs down and a brawl ensues as the lumberjacks fill the ring trying to separate Cena and Ryback
