Dixie Carter was recently interviewed by DigitalSpy Magazine to which a few interesting points of conversation came out.
On Competition within wrestling:
"I don't think [the WWE] shares my belief in this, but I believe that competition is 100% positively essential, I think it's important for fans and for us. To have one company dominate, a) it's boring, and b) you are not being challenged enough. It's always better to have other options out there and I truly believe it makes both companies better."
On a WWE/TNA Crossover:
"I absolutely would do that. I'm not sure if they would do that, but I absolutely would."
On the UK market:
"The UK is essential. It truly has become our second home. It's the first home worldwide that we have had ratings dominance. Fans in this country know what they like and they're very vocal about it. They judge the product on what they see in front of them and it's not all about the history."
"We're talking about doing another season of the Bootcamp series on Challenge and we're also in talks about other UK TV projects so hopefully we'll be able to announce that in the coming months. "And from a touring perspective, we're going to be filming in Glasgow, Scotland. That will be the first time that wrestling has ever been broadcast live from Scotland, so I'm really excited about that."
