-- PWInsider.com confirms that several talents in NXT have been released today. Two of the releases include Derek Bateman & Briley Piece.

Bateman was on the final season of NXT before it was transitioned into its current format. He was signed back in 2007.

Briley Pierce (Ryan Nemeth), younger brother of Dolph Ziggler, noted on Twitter "I guarantee you that was the funniest and most entertaining "you're released" phone call in history."

Additional names look to be released in the coming days.
