WWE Raw Results (3/11/13)

Welcome to Monday Night Raw and this week Raw comes to us live from Indianapolis, Indiana and kicks off with the tribute video to the late William “Paul Bearer” Moody. The bell tolls and The Undertaker comes out to the ring. He goes down to one knee and pays his respects to Paul Bearer, standing beside him is the urn that used to accompany him to the ring. CM Punk then interrupts and says he just wanted to extend his heartfelt condolensces and his apologies for Undertaker’s loss at Wrestlemania. The silver lining in this cloud is, to Paul Bearer and everyone around the world Undertaker will be perfect 20-0 but in 4 weeks, Undertaker will be 20-1 and the night after there will be a new tribute video being played and years from now the question people will be asklng is where were you when CM Punk beat The Streak.

We are back from commercial and we take a look at footage that took place during the break with Kane coming out. He’s about to chokeslam Punk off the stage but Punk manages to escape.

Big Show vs Seth Rollins

Show pushes Rollins into the corner and lands a kick. Irish whip but Show misses with the back splash. Rollins shooed away twice by Show and gets sent flying over the ropes into Reigns and all three members attack in a 3 on 1 as the referee calls for the bell.

The winner of the match by DQ: Big Show

Post Match: Reigns gets the KO Punch. Ambrose chokeslammed. Rollins comes off the top rope and Show grabs him mid-air looking to chokeslam him but Reigns slides back in the ring and delivers a spear. The Shield then lift Show up for the triple power bomb.

Backstage: Brad Maddox and Vickie are talking and Punk comes in and says last time he checked it was Punk vs Undertaker and he doesn’t know why Kane had to get involved. Undertaker doesn’t need his little brother fighting his battles for him. Vickie says whether or not Punk meant to disrespect the memory of Paul Bearer, he’s going to have to ask Kane for mercy because tonight he will be facing Kane in a no disqualification match.

We come back from commercial and take a look at The Brother Love Show from February of 1991 and the debut of Paul Bearer

Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler

Wristlock by Ziggler and a suplex by Bryan. Side headlock to Ziggler and Bryan with a shoulderblock. Bryan with a takedown sets Ziggler up for the surfboard. Uppercut by Bryan. Ziggler with a dropkick. Bryan with the No Kicks in the corner. Bryan with the irish whip and the dropkick in the corner. Bryan launches Ziggler to the outside and Bryan looking to capitalize but Langston jumps up on the apron

Chinlock by Ziggler. Bryan slingshots Ziggler into the turnbuckle. Irish whip, reversed by Bryan and the clothesline to Ziggler. Bryan runs into the boot from Ziggler. Ziggler goes for the sleeprhold. Bryan in the ropes, shakes Ziggler off and rolls through. Uppercut by Bryan and the series of kicks to Ziggler. Bryan to the top rope, cut off by Ziggler and Bryan slides down off the ropes and cuts Ziggler off. Bryan looking for a suplex but Ziggler counters with a crossbody. Bryan misses with a punch and Ziggler hangs Bryan out over the top rope. Ziggler with the Zig-Zag. Bryan going for the No Lock and Langston grabs Ziggler’s foot putting it on the bottom rope. The distraction by AJ and Ziggler from behind with the roll up, Bryan with the No Lock but Ziggler escapes and hits the Zig-Zag for the three count

The winner of the match: Dolph Ziggler.

Post Match: Langston picks Bryan up and delivers the Big Ending

Tensai vs Fandango

Fandango doesn’t come out to the ring so Tensai calls him out. Fandango comes out and says Tensai mispronounced his name and says he is a disgrace to the art of dance and even people in the mid-west who know nothing about the world of art would agree that he and Clay are an abomination and says he will come down to the ring when Tensai gets his name right and says he wants to hear his name through the lips of Naomi.  Fandango then congratulates Tensai on costing everyone the chance to witness a match with Fandango

Our next Paul Bearer memory is from Wrestlemania 20 which took place on Sunday March 14, 2004.

Team Rhodes Scholars vs The New Age Outlaws

Rhodes and Road Dogg lock up and Road Dogg with an arm twist but Rhodes with a knee and Road Dogg lands a series of punches to Rhodes. The Disaster Kick by Rhodes to Road Dogg. Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman then come out and Billy Gunn going after Lesnar but Lesnar wasting no time in delivering an F5 to the Bad Ass and another F5 to Road Dogg. Paul Heyman then takes the mic and says Brock Lesnar doesn’t play games, he hurts people. Take for example Shawn Michaels. Brock Lesnar broke his arm. Vince McMahon, Brock Lesnar broke him in half to where Stephanie McMahon had to watch as her father got lifted with a broken body into an ambulance and asks Triple H what must that do to a man? And now the New Age Outlaws, the last remains of De-Generation X, F-5’ed into oblivion and says Brock Lesnar’s answer is yes he will fight Triple H at Wrestlemania. But, only if they get to name the stipulations and Brock Lesnar won’t tell the stipulations until after the contract is signed. So, either he acceptsand  blindly signs the contract or Triple H disappoints everyone.

Kofi Kingston vs Mark Henry

Kingston unloads on Henry and Henry with a series of headbutts. Big splash to Kingston in the corner. Bear hug by Henry. Kingston trying to fight out of it but Henry backs Kingston into the corner. Henry picks Kingston up, Kingston slides down looking for a comeback but Henry kicks Kingston in the jaw sending him to the outside. Henry whipped into the ring steps and Kingston with a clothesline. Kingston to the top rope and Henry catches him in mid-air delivering the World’s Strongest Slam for the three count

The winner of the match: Mark Henry

Backstage: Rhodes is talking with Kaitlyn and Damien Sandow comes in and says he found two more suitable companions after Brock Lesnar cost them their match. They bring in the Bella Twins and Vickie says their double date will have to be put on hold because Rhodes Scholars’ match was cut short so she booked them in another match against Randy Orton and Sheamus

Ryback vs Heath Slater

Slater punching Ryback. Ryback with the military press slam and clothesline. Ryback hits the Meat Hook clothesline. Sets Slater up and delivers Shell Shocked for the three count

The winner of the match: Ryback

Post Match: McIntyre attacks Ryback and gets Shell Shocked and now Mark Henry marching to the ring and delivers the World’s Strongest Slam to McIntyre and now it’s a game of one upman’sship

Alberto Del Rio vs Antonio Cesaro

Waistlock by Del Rio and Cesaro powers him into the corner. Del Rio gets the boots up and a hurricanrana to Cesaro. Del Rio up to the top and crossbody onto Cesaro. Del Rio on the second rope and Cesaro cuts him down and Del Rio hits his head on the turnbuckle. Irish whip into the corner and a European uppercut to Del Rio. Kneedrop and elbow drop by Cesaro back to the chinlock. Cesaro charges and hits the turnbuckle. Series of clotheslines and a tilt o whirl backbreaker to Cesaro. The kick to the face by Del Rio. Cesaro blocks the cross armbreaker and goes to the apron. Del Rio pulls him back through and punches to the kidneys followed by the backstabber. Del Rio off the top rope and Cesaro catches him with an uppercut. Cesaro going for the waistlock but Del Rio counters and locks in the cross armbreaker for the tap out

Sandow with a side headlock and elbow by Orton. Orton with an uppercut and a suplex. Battering ram by Sheamus. Rhodes off the ropes runs into a clothesline. Sheamus with a rolling senton. Sandow pulls the rope down as Sheamus falls to the outside. Sandow with a clothesline to Sheamus and Rhodes rolls Sheamus back into the ring. Sandow with a series of axehandles. Rhodes with a knee to the face of Sheamus. Chinlock on Sheamus. Hip toss blocked by Sheamus and a clothesline to Rhodes. Orton with a series of clotheslines. The powerslam by Orton. T-bone suplex by Orton and Orton sets up for the DDT but Sandow pulls Rhodes to the outside. Orton with a clothesline to Sandow and Rhodes pushes Orton face first into the ring post. Sandow working on the arm. Side Russian legsweep by Sandow and he follows it up with the Cobito Acquiet. Rhodes with a front suplex. Rhodes to the top rope cut off by Orton. Superplex by Rhodes. Sheamus with a series of axehandles. The shoulder tackle, kneelift and The Fiery Red Hand to Sandow. Sheamus picks Sandow up, delivers White Noise. Sheamus setting it up Rhodes misses with a clothesline and eats an RKO as Sheamus hits the Brogue Kick to Sandow for the three count

We come back from break and see footage that took place during commercial and The Shield’s attack on Sheamus & Orton.

The Highlight Reel

Jericho welcomes everyone to Raw Is Jericho and the Highlight Reel and then shows footage from The Marine 3 and introduces The Miz. Miz says it’s nice to be a guest instead of a host for a change and Jericho congratulates Miz on having a hit movie. Wade Barrett then comes out and says Miz isn’t an actor. His new movie opened in the top 5 this past weekend and rolls footage of Dead Man Down. Miz then imitates Barrett and says they get it they’ve been listening to the same garbage for the past three weeks. Barrett says he can do it all and has had offers from Hollywood but turned them all down because he’s too busy being the intercontinental champion. Miz says the only reason he keeps bringing up his movie is because he hasn’t won a match in weeks and it’s only a matter of time before he loses the intercontinental title. Barrett tells Jericho to stay out of it. Jericho reminds him of who brought him into this company and Barrett may be a 2 time intercontinental champion but Jericho is a 9 time intercontinental champion and challenges Barrett saying he might just make it  10. Brad Maddox comes out and tells them to knock it off and says he has an announcement and says tensions are running high and they all just need to chill out and says Wade Barrett will defend his intercontinental championship next week against the winner of the next match, Miz vs Chris Jericho.

Chris Jericho vs Miz

Chinlock by Jericho on Miz. Elbows by Miz and an irish whip but runs into a boot by Jericho. Miz with a series of clotheslines. Jericho with a series of shoulderblocks. Jericho off the top rope with an axehandle. Miz with a boot to the face. Reverse knife edge chop. Miz goes for the backbreaker/neckbreaker combination but Jericho counters with the running bulldog. Jericho goes for the Lionsault but Miz gets the knees up. Jericho goes for the Walls but Miz counters and looks to lock in the figure four but Jericho counters into the Walls. Jericho locks it in and Miz makes it to the ropes. Miz falls to the outside and Jericho right after him. Jericho tosses Miz into Barrett.

The winner of the match: No Contest

Post Match: Barrett attacking Jericho from behind as the referee calls for the bell. Miz throws Barrett into the ring and hits the Skull Crushing Finale and Jericho hits The Code Breaker

We get the Ricardo Rodriguez and Alberto Del Rio skit from Smackdown

Jack Swagger vs Sin Cara

Colter says he’s not in a good mood and everyone can agree that America is facing problems and he’s looking at one right in front of him and his name is Sin Cara and people don’t cheer for him. They are programmed to cheer for him because he has a nice little entrance and bounces around the ring. Colter calls him a thief because every night 365 days a year there’s a little band of Sin Cara sneaking across the borders stealing what belongs to Americans and blames the WWE Universe saying they’re afraid to say or do anything. Colter says Del Rio says he was born in Mexico but made in America but the only thing Del Rio’s made is made them aware of what’s going on in this country and Jack Swagger says on April 7 he’s bringing the championship back home

Sin Cara with a back elbow to Swagger. Sin Cara sends Swagger to the outside. Sin Cara with a cross body. Series of kicks to Swagger. Sin Cara looking for a sunset flip. Swagger has Sin Cara in the corner and Sin Cara catches Swagger with a kick to the temple. Swagger slams Sin Cara and then locks in the Patriot Act for the tap out

The winner of the match: Jack Swagger

Post Match: Alberto Del Rio runs out and brawls with Swagger locking him in the cross armbreaker but Colter pulls him out of the ring

We get an interview with Halle Berry about her new movie The Call,

Kane vs CM Punk

Punk with the attack on Kane early on in the match. Series of knees by Kane. Kane slams Punk on the barricade and throws him over the barricade. Kane taking apart the announce table. Punk takes the ring bell and hits Kane in the gut. Axehandle by Punk.  Forearm across the throat by Kane. Kane sets Punk on the top rope. Kane on the top rope looking for a superplex but Punk blocks it with punches and pushes Kane off the ropes. Punk from the top drops the elbow onto Kane. Punk with a series of kicks to Kane. The high running knee in the corner by Punk looking for the bulldog but Kane counters and grabs Punk by the throat dumping him over the top rope

-Commercial-

Kane looking for a powerslam but Punk counters. Clothesline out of the corner. Punk wedging a chair in the corner . Irish whip, reversed by Kane and it’s Punk hitting the corner and steel chair back first. Clotheslines in the corner by Kane. Sidewalk Slam to Punk. Clothesline over the ropes to the outside. Kane after Punk whips him into the barricade and Kane tossing steel chairs into the ring. Kane has Punk back in the ring. Kane looking for the chokeslam but Kane counters with a DDT. Punk wielding the chair as he mocks Undertaker. Kane grabs Punk by the throat and Punk hits a roundhouse kick. The bell tolls as Punk looks around. Kane, hits the chokeslam for the three count.

Post Match: Undertaker comes out and both Kane and Undertaker go to one knee and give one last salute to the memory of Paul Bearer. Punk hits Kane in the back of the head with the urn but Undertaker comes down and chases him off and Punk retreats up the ramp with the urn mocking Undertaker
