A PWTorch.com exclusive has revealed that backstage at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view last Sunday some of the locker room were swerved by the finish to the WWE Championship match between CM Punk and The Rock. 

WWE has a policy of not putting the finishes to main event matches on the results board backstage so only a select few talent, referees and agents know what the outcome will be. When the lights went out during The Shield attack on Rock the legit feeling backstage was McMahon had changed the plans for WrestleMania 29 and were shocked that Punk won the match to retain the WWE Championship...or at least they thought until the match was re-started by McMahon himself and Rock went on to win the WWE Championship.
