Despite Low Raw Rating, Big Show Draws Huge

Posted By: Adam Nystrom of WrestlingNewsSource.com on May 16, 2012

While this week's overall Raw rating of 2.95 likely set off a panic in the WWE offices of Stamford, one positive note can be made from the breakdown of each segment: The Big Show was a massive draw for viewers.

Kane's victory over The Big Show, followed by his unceremonious firing by John Laurinaitis increased viewership by 1,330,000 viewers, a tremendous gain over the John Cena Make-A-Wish segment that preceded the match.  Further information noted that demographics specifically targeted by WWE programming saw significant increases while The Big Show was prominently featured.
