Linda McMahon remains on the campaign trail for the United States Senate, and the mudslinging that comes with it made itself known today.
John Slater, the Republican Town Committee Chairman of Bridgeport, gave McMahon his endorsement for the upcoming election a month after Slater attended Wrestlemania 28 in Miami. This sequence of events was brought into question by McMahon's opponent, Christopher Shays, whose own campaign staff called the timing of the endorsement "interesting."
While there was no direct accusation involved, Slater seemed to take the insinuation personally. He sent a photo to press members of his own bank statement which shows the dollar amount he paid for his ticket to Wrestlemania.
