The New York Post recently gave insight on the problems WWE is facing with the upcoming launch of their WWE Network.
It's being reported that WWE has not yet signed with any satellite or cable providers to even carry the Network. Also, WWE has not hired very many experienced cable executives, though they were expected to hire over 200 people for the Network.
The following statement comes from an unspecified cable executive:
"WWE has the programming and marketing muscle, but they just have no one with cable experience who can execute for them."
And this statement comes from Gerri Dinini, Senior Vice President of the RJ Palmer media communications agency:
"Given the content issues, I think a whole channel would be a stretch. It is very limited in who it reaches."
