Smackdown this week is coming to us live from Rockford, Illionois in the BMO Harris Bank Centre and we kick things off with Lilian Garcia introducing the World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan who comes out with his girlfriend AJ.  Bryan grabs the mic and says back in July when he won the Smackdown MITB contract and said he’d main event Wrestlemania, not a single person in the arena or at home believed him yet here he stands as the World Heavyweight Champion.  And, might he add, he’s heading to the main event at Wrestlemania.  Santino Marella was trying to channel Rocky Balboa heading into Elimination Chamber this past Sunday but Bryan is the role model, he is the real Rocky Story and says he beat all five opponents Sunday and says if they want Rocky, “Yo, AJ, I did it”.  After defeating five men in the most barbaric structure ever constructed, his moment was ruined by Sheamus.  Well now it’s his turn.  He will ruin Sheamus’ moment at Wrestlemania and he will show everyone around the world that he will be victorious just like tonight how he will be victorious against CM Punk.  Bryan is then interrupted by Miz.  Miz says Bryan isn’t the only one who believed Bryan would become a World Champion.  Miz believed it as well.  From the first day he mentored Bryan on NXT he knew he had the momentum to become a World Champion.  But he’s not out to steal the spotlight, he’s out to congratulate him on becoming the World Champion and main eventing Wrestlemania.  And after Bryan beats Sheamus at Wrestlemania, Miz proposed the formation of a tag team between the two.  Sheamus then comes out to congratulate Bryan.  To congratulate him on being a massive ass and a hypocrite.  Sheamus says Bryan isn’t a role model, he’d rather hide behind a woman’s skirt than stand up like a man.  After Wrestlemania, no one is going to be congratulating Daniel Bryan.  Sheamus goes after Bryan and Miz attacks as Bryan escapes

Sheamus has an armlock on Miz but Miz back to his feet Irish whip by Miz countered by Sheamus and Miz kicks Sheamus in the face. Sheamus back up delivering the Fiery Red Hand to Miz. Sheamus follows Miz outside tosses him back in. Shoulderblock from apron cover and 2 count. Irish whip and Sheamus charges but Miz moves out of the way. Miz going to work on the arm, cover and  a 2 count.  Miz whips Sheamus into the corner and delivers the clothesline.  Miz off the ropes, boot to the face, 2 count only.  Submission hold by Miz and Sheamus fighting back.  Miz off the ropes, and Sheamus with the series of clotheslines. Backbreaker and a 2 count on Miz. Whip by Sheamus and he runs into an elbow. Neckbreaker by Miz and kick out at 2 by Sheamus. SCF by Miz blocked by Sheamus. Sheamus misses the Brogue Kick, Miz rolls Sheamus up, 2 count. Sheamus plants the Miz with his finisher the cover and the 3 count

Backstage: Aksana comes in and says she wants Teddy to be GM of both shows and don’t forget on top of every man is a good woman. John Laurinaitis and David Otunga come in and tell Long he’s unprofessional and is why Laurinaitis should be the GM of both shows. Otunga says Long’s office should be in the dumpster because that’s where he’s going to be after Otunga beats Ezekiel Jackson

Side headlock by Truth, irish whip by Swagger and Truth holds on. Punch by Truth, and Swagger knocks Truth down. Swagger Bomb and a 2 count only. Swagger picks Truth up, tag to Ziggler. Snapmare by Ziggler and an elbow drop. Chinlock-armbar by Ziggler, Truth gets to his feet. Truth in the corner he gets the boots up and Ziggler down. Tag to Kingston and Kofi’s flying all over the ring. Kofi off the ropes the cover and a 2 count on Ziggler. Truth and Swagger get tossed to the outside, back in the ring Kofi picks Ziggler up, Ziggler with the thumb to the eye, ZigZag by Dolph, the cover and the three count

Show starts with body punches on Henry and a splash into Henry.  Show looking for the WMD but Henry ducks and now it’s Henry on the attack. Show’s fighting back but Henry still in control. Double axehandle, the cover and 2 count. Henry standing on Show’s chest. Henry picks him up and whips him into the corner. Show comes back with clotheslines. Show off the ropes with a spear. Cody Rhodes comes out to interrupt the match and rolls footage of the Sumo match between Big Show and Akebono at Wrestlemania. Henry from behind, World’s Strongest Slam. World’s Strongest Splash, kick out by Show. Show with the WMD and Show exits the ring going after Cody Rhodes.

Side slam by Jackson. Torture rack but Otunga holds on and a neck snap by Otunga. A spinebuster and 3 count

Punk and Bryan lock it up and around the ring they go and Punk powers Bryan into the corner. Lock up again and it’s Bryan with a leg drop armbar on Punk. Punk to his feet, Bryan with a wristlock. Reversal by Punk into a side headlock, Bryan whips Punk and a shoulderblock. Bryan irish whip and Punk holds on the cover by Punk and 2 count.  Armdrag by Bryan and another cover and 2 count

Side headlock by Bryan whip by Punk and a kneelift to Bryan.  Kneedrop on Bryan and a 2 count. Kick to the arm by Bryan and an arm rip, Bryan charges and Punk kicks him. Punk down and Bryan picks him up taking the left arm snapping it across his shoulder. Bryan delivering those patented kicks to Punk and going back to work on the arm. A punch by Punk and Bryan with the fireman carry. Cover by Bryan and 2 count. Bryan with the kick to the chest. Knee to the chest and back to work on the arm. Submission maneuver by Bryan Punk trying to fight out of it but Bryan has it locked in. Punk counters with a back suplex. And it’s Punk with the kicks and he hits the high knee to Bryan. Punk going for the GTS, Bryan looking for the LeBell Lock. Kick by Punk but Bryan escapes Sheamus runs down throws Bryan back in. Punk with the kick to the head and the cover for the 3 count. John Laurinaitis comes out and restarts the match due to outside interference and Punk is back on the attack. Punk hits the high knee to Bryan

Bryan going back to work on the arm. Series of reversals by both Punk and Bryan and it’s Bryan who scores the pin but out comes Teddy Long. He says the match is not going to end with Daniel Bryan using the ropes and he gets in Laurinaitis’ face and orders the referee to restart the match. And it’s a slugfest between Bryan and Punk. An angle slam to the outside and Punk with the suicide dive onto Bryan. Springboard clothesline off the top rope by Punk and a 2 count, Punk hits the high knee but Bryan snaps the injured arm and  Punk is down. Bryan with the flying dropkick across the ring kick out at 2. Punk and Bryan on the top, hurricanrana the roll up and 2 count and Bryan with his kicks cover and a 2 count. Bryan looking for the Lebell Lock, Punk reverses, slingshot into the turnbuckle, kick to the head the cover and Bryan gets the foot on the rope. Crowd chanting for CM Punk as he goes to the top. Flying elbow but Bryan cuts him off. Superplex, blocked by Punk and a headbutt to Bryan. Bryan back up, superplex but Punk throws him off. Bryan again cuts him off and third time could be the charm as he hits the giant suplex and we have a double pin. The two GM’s are in the ring facing off and Long throws his jacket at Laurinaitis and leaves as Punk, Bryan and Laurinaitis are left in the ring.
