At the most historic WrestleMania ever some superstars celebrated the grandure and the glory, but tonight it's WWE Extreme Rules! Nothing is too treacherous, nothing is too sadistic, nothing is too extreme! Tonight is about pain, it's about fear. A combination of what torture one can put upon another and how far a person can be pushed to the brink of unholy actions that leads them to unleash brutality upon their opponents. This is not for the feint at heart, this is WWE Extreme Rules!
Josh Matthews brings us in on commentary to describe what should be a turbulent night. We get into the action straight away as Justin Roberts introduces The Viper for his upcoming Last Man Standing match vs. CM Punk! Jerry 'The King' Lawler and Booker T. are also at the announcers desk and the fans are on their feet in Tampa. CM Punk enters with the rest of his Nexus, but *BLEEP* *BLEEP* the annonymous Raw GM chimes in and Josh Matthews announces that the GM has banished Nexus from ringside beause he wants a fair result and end to this rivalry.
Randy Orton vs. CM Punk
Last Man Standing match
Punk unties a turnbuckle pad before the bell even rings and the comms wonder whether that is Punk's 'plan b' already in affect. It doesn't matter much though as Orton takes control and batters Punk to ringside in the early going. The action gets back into the ring where both men spend some time on top, but no Punk's in control as he takes it to Orton on the canvas. Remember, this is a Last Man Standing match and at Extreme Rules, anything goes and Punk takes advantage of that as we watch him dominate Orton to ringside and then reach under the apron to pull out a kendo stick and he whacks Orton with it multiple times. The referee often administers the Ten-count, but Punk doesn't allow any count to continue because he knows he cannot put Orton away that easily. Punk can't underestimate Orton and he tries keeping on top of him, but Orton counters as Punk springboards from off the top rope and The Viper strikes the leader of Nexus with the kendo stick and this soon leads to Orton almost administering the Viper-DDT, but Punk counters and catapults Orton into that exposed turnbuckle from before the match. Punk then goes to grab a steel chair and he sets it in between the turnbuckles in the corner opposite to Randy Orton. CM Punk runs to Orton in the corner and cements a high knee into his jaw. But he showboats a little too much and Orton soon turns things round to launch Punk into the steel chair and the battle then continues to ringside. Orton's on top, and the announcers table is partially picked apart but then Punk kicks The Viper away and the ref administers another Ten-count. Orton gets up at Eight and he then turns the tides on Punk to backdrop him right over the barricade. That must of hurt and the contest then gets back into the ring where Orton pounds the canvas to set for the RKO, but that doesn't figure and soon Punk's in control again and GTS's Orton down. Orton's in trouble and the ref counts and The Viper only just makes it up to his feet at Nine and a half. Punk Russian legsweeps Orton right onto a steel chair in the middle of the ring and he goes for another similar move, but Orton snaps on the RKO and *BAM* Punk hits the mat. The fans cheer as it seems Orton should have this match, but again it's proven that both these men are equally matched because Punk gets up before the count of Ten. The contest spills to ringside where Orton's in charge, but Punk comes back to place Orton's head into an open steel chair and Punk then sends Orton neck/chair first into the ring-post. Hellacious move from Punk, but Orton doesn't stay down so Punk takes it upon himself to take Randy Orton onto the announcers desk for a GTS, but Orton counters and *BAM* RKO on a solid announcers table that doesn't even budge. The referee gets to a count of Eight before Punk falls off the table and tippy toes so that the ref restarts the count. Orton sees Punk down, struggling to get up by the steel steps and Orton sets up for the Punt, but no a counter, Punk with a modified GTS and *BAM* Orton's head bounces up off the top of the steel steps. Randy Orton is down, but again he gets up just before the count of Ten. Orton cralws himself back into the ring while Punk gets a kendo stick and goes top rope. Orton picks up a kendo stick himself and he's the first to strike, whacking Punk while he perched on the top turnbuckle. Orton smacks Punk with the kendo stick a number of times before eventually executing a top rope RKO! Both men are then down until a count of Nine before Orton gets up, but Punk is down for Ten and The Viper slithers through Extreme Rules rules victorious.
Winner: Randy Orton.
Orton celebrates as Jerry Lawler then makes his way to the back to get ready for his match.
Booker and Josh review the WWE Draft where RAW notably got Alberto Del-Rio, Rey Mysterio, Big Show and Kofi Kingston. SmackDown got Sheamus, Randy Orton, Sin Cara and The Great Khali. They also review what Sheamus did to Kofi Kingston on SmackDown this past Friday night and Sheamus made a statement by taking it to Kofi before the match even got started.
Backstage Teddy Long tells Sheamus that we're in for a bonus match right here tonight at Extreme Rules. It's going to be Sheamus vs. Kofi Kingston in a Tables match for the United States Championship!
Elsewhere backstage we see John Morrison warming up par-cours style before his Title shot later tonight.
Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus (c)
Tables match for the United States Title
Both superstars trade kicks early on, but then Sheamus is surprised by Kofi's aggression and we watch as he exits the ring and looks to bring a Table into this contest early. He didn't focus on Sheamus enough though and so Sheamus is able to get on top and toss Kingston into the barricade at ringside. Kofi then gets back into things and sets up a Table to lay Sheamus on it and almost connect from off the apron, but Sheamus escapes straight away. The Celtic Warrior then uses the barricade to again bounce Kingston off and Sheamus then sets up another Table before attempting to powerbomb Kofi through the wood. Kofi fights back though and Sheamus is rocking on the apron as Kofi attacks, but Sheamus slingshots himself back into the ring to shulder barge Kingston back down to the canvas. Sheamus exits the ring to grab another Table and he uses the edge of it to attack Kofi with. The comms discuss how Sheamus is familiar with Tables because he once defeated John Cena in a Tables match to become WWE Champion. In the ring Sheamus sets the Table against the corner and he lifts Kofi to set to drive him through the wood, but Kingston counters and he lays out Sheamus on the wood. Kingston then launches himself and Sheamus moves, but Kofi impressively lands his feet on the ropes - either side of the Table. Sheamus takes his chance to hook Kofi into a High Cross, but Kofi escapes and the two exchange back and forth in and out of the ring as this match continues and soon Sheamus sets a Table up in the ring. He takes Kofi to the top rope and looks to send him through the Table, but Kofi fights back, but not for long as Sheamus looks to administer a suplex that would lead to Kofi crashing through a table at ringside, but Kofi counters with a Trouble In Paradise and Sheamus lands right by the Table. Kofi then measures as he goes top rope to leap off with a double leg-drop that lands right through Sheamus and he fals right back through the wood and the fans cheer as the bell rings and we have a new United States Champion!
Winner and New United States Champion: Kofi Kingston!
Kofi celebrates as the comms go through replays of an excellent match.
Backstage Todd Grisham stands by with R-Truth. Truth says that him not being in the main event, hell him not being on the entire show is a conspiracy. A conspiracy because Cena nor The Miz want to face R-Truth tonight. Truth says that John Morrison stole the opportunity at the WWE Title from him tonight and if there's one thing that Truth can't stand is a thief!
Jack Swagger & Michael Cole enter and Cole is literally coated in bubble-wrap. Booker and Matthews take us through replays of what happened between Cole and his former comrades on Monday night RAW last week and that's what lead to this upcoming match. Of course Cole wants our attentuon before the match starts and he says that he's not scared of a Country Whipping match here tonight. Cole reminds us that he's an award-winning journalist. He tells us of all he's seen and states that he's not scared of a couple of hicks. One in a cowboy hat and one in a fake crown. Cole insults the audience and we're now ready for the match as out come Hall Of Fame inductees JR and Jerry 'The King' Lawler. Before the bell rings JR throws his chewing gum into the Cole Mine of Michael Cole.
Jack Swagger & Michael Cole vs. Jim Ross & Jerry 'The King' Lawler
Country Whipping match
Swagger starts against King, but it's JR from the apron who gets the first whip and King takes over with a whole number of hits before Swagger tags out and Michael Cole comes in to take some free hits from King and JR because he has bubble-wrap protecting him. King though uses his fist and takes Cole down before ripping the bubble-wrap from off his body. Now things are even, but Cole tags out and Swagger comes in to put a beating on King. Swagger and Cole then tag in and out and soon Swagger attempts a Swagger-bomb on King, but King evades contact and fights back. Cole comes in and whips King from behind and this leads to enough of a distraction for Swagger to chop-block King from behind and this leads to an ankle lock. JR though breaks the hold with a whipping on Jack and King soon is able to tag and Jim Ross then comes in to whip Jack Swagger and administer an ankle lock on him! The fans cheer as Swagger is in a world of pain. he has to leap across the ring to tag out and Boomer Sooner, Jim Ross puts a whipping literally and verbally on Michael Cole. He takes it to Cole and eventually hooks and ankle lock. Swagger's back up though and Ross looks intimidated as Swagger grabs his collar, but then JR goes old school for a low blow on Jack Swagger! Ross then puts a further whipping on Swagger, but wait, Michael Cole from behind with a school-boy on JR and Cole gets the Three-count!
Winners: Michael Cole and Jack Swagger.
Cole and Swagger arrogantly celebrate as JR and King stand confused in the ring. How could that have happened, they were in control. Now Michael Cole remains undefeated in the WWE. We'll never hear the end of this.
Backstage John Cena tells Todd Grisham that it's been ten months since he's been WWE Champion so let there be no doubt that at the end of the night tonight, have no doubts, "the Champ is Here!"
We see a video package reminding us of the storied rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio. Rhodes blames Mysterio for disfiguring his face due to a 6-1-9 in which Mysterio wore a protective knee brace. Rhodes wants to humiliate Rey just like he feels humiliated for having to wear a mask everywhere he goes because of his hidious face. Who's going to win, Falls Count Anywhere and it's up next.
Cody Rhodes enters with his employees who hand out paper bags to members of the audience at ringside. Rhodes gets on mic to damand that these fans put these paper bags on their heads because they are "extremely ugly."
Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio
Falls Count Anywhere match
The match begins in the ring, but Rey falls Rhodes to ringside where Cody picks up the first Two-count on Rey on the concrete at the foot of the ramp. The fight goes up the ramp and onto the stage where Rey sends Rhodes into the titantron underscreen and as Rhodes then stumbles to the floor below the stage, Rey leaps off for a sentona nd he hooks a cover for a Two-count on Rhodes. The match spills into the audience, constantly going back and forth and we watch as Rey battles Cody up the stairs of the St Pete Times Forum. Cody Rhodes takes over to control the match and use his own mask to headbutt Rey and wound Mysterio right on his head. The camera and referee follow Rhodes and Mysterio to the back and Rey comes back into things as he sends Rhodes crashing into some bins. Mysterio gets Two on the cover and then Rhodes fights back and the match goes back and forth for both superstars to get more Two-counts and the onlooking crowd chant 'This Is Awesome!' as Rey and Cody take the match back down through the arena crowd and toward the ring. Cody backtracks away from Mysterio and he suckers Rey in to hip toss him right over the baricade and out to ringside. Rhodes is well in charge as Mysterio gets his head slammed into the steel steps and Cody gets Two on the count. Finally these superstars take the contest back into the ring and this leads to Mysterio getting back into the match to land a cross-body on Rhodes and he takes him down for Two. Mysterio attempts a 6-1-9 and even exposes his knee brace for added extreme to this pay-per-view, but Rhodes turns things round, ends up low-blowing Rey twice before laying him out with an Alabama Slam. Rey is resiliant though and he kicks out and Cody Rhodes then sets Mysterio up onto the top turnbuckle. Rhodes goes at Rey, but Mysterio spits something blue (#RoyalWedding) to Rhodes' face. This disorients Cody Rhodes and Rey then hits a 6-1-9 for the finish and the One, Two, Three.
Winner: Rey Mysterio.
Backstage we see a flurry of gorgeous WWE Divas and they're chatting. Layla comes onto the scence and says she knows that this may be her last night here, so she just wants to apologise to these ladies (the likes of Natalya, Gail Kim and Alicia Fox, led by the stunning Kelly Kelly) for ever doing wrong by them. Kelly says that they don't like Layla, but they like Michelle a whole lot less, "so good luck tonight."
Michael Cole smirks upon rejoining commentary and we get set for the demise of Lay-Cool.
Michelle McCool vs. Layla
No DQ Loser Leaves WWE match
This contest is a feisty affair and the former joint Diva's Champions fight in the ring and battle often to ringside. Michelle McCool feins another fake appology, but this time Layla doesn't buy it and the contest goes on with a nervous tension in the air as one of these Diva's is out of here tonight. Layla hits her Lay-out but McCool kicks out and this leads to McCool setting for her finisher, but Layla counters with a nice neckbreaker, but McCool gets her feet on the rope. The Diva's then trade near falls, but Michelle is able to hit her finisher and that could be it, but it takes her an eternity to make a cover. But wait, Layla counters McCool into a crucifix and the ref counts Three!
Winner: Layla.
Layla doesn't seem happy at the win with the comms reminding us that Layla never wanted any of this from the start. Michelle McCool cries in the ring as the fans sing her a 'Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey, Good Bye!' Music hits and a beast of a woman named Kharma comes out. She stalks McCool in the ring as the WWE Universe is in absolute awe and shock as to what has just walked to to the ring. McCool begs and pleads, but Kharma grabs McCool to hook her arms and lift her up and slam her down with an evil slam. The Diva's backstage watch on flat-screen (same bunch as earlier) and they all look intimidated. Michelle McCool met her Kharma tonight.
Backstage we see Alberto Del-Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez practice to announce Del-Rio as the new World Champion.

Turbulence was massive, but with no General Manager who would be in charge of TNA RAW before the Tokyo-Draft? Wade Barrett! Click HERE to Read last Monday Night's TNA RAW and see what the show was like under 'Barrett-Law!'
A video package shows us the ups and downs of the career of the Rated 'R' SuperStar Edge. Edge had to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship due to eight-year-old injuries cathcing up with him and this lead to Christian winning a battle royal that would set him up for a match with Alberto Del-Rio here tonight. Edge and Christian best friends for over 20 years and now Christian has a date with destiny against Alberto Del-Rio for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship, tonight on Extreme Rules.
Alberto Del-Rio vs. Christian
Ladder match for the vacant Heavyweight Championship of the World
Christian claps the fans into a frenzy right away and we watch as Del-Rio gets a grip on the match in the early going. The fans back Christian though and he comes back, but Del-Rio is focussed as ever and he takes Christian down to the canvas. Del-Rio wants to exit for a Ladder, but Christian stops him and soon performs a back body drop followed by a back elbow from off the middle turnbuckle. Christian goes for a Ladder as he now has some time, but Del-Rio's up quicker than Christian though and Del-Rio takes charge at ringside. Christian smartly evades heavy punishment by crawling under the ring. Del-Rio tries to take advantage by grabbing a Ladder, but then Christian comes out from under the apron on the far side of the ring and he runs in to dropkick the Ladder right back in the face of Del-Rio. The contest goes on and both superstars get within touching distance of the coveted Title, but the match then spills to ringside again as both men use various sized Ladders to their advantage. Del-Rio sets a Ladder up from across the ring apron and over the announcers table. Christian is in trouble then as Del-Rio sets for a spulex onto the Ladder, but Christian counters and the contest goes on some more as Christian's experience is seemingly having him have the edge (no pun intended) in this match. The match is back in the ring and Christian wants to go up for the Belt, but Del-Rio's up and he instead takes Christian down and sets a Ladder against the corner, but then he's the one to taste metal as Christian counters a cross-armbreaker to launch Del-Rio onto the Ladder. Now Christian has the chance and he sets a Ladder up to climb and he gets close, but Del-Rio gets up to launch a Hornswoggle sized min-Ladder right up at Christian and Del-Rio then follows up with a huge backbreaker from off the Ladder. Del-Rio then dominates Christian for the moment and he slams Christian against a Ladder in the corner. He tries using the mini-Ladder again, but it backfires as Del-Rio smashes himself into the bigger Ladder along with the mini-Ladder. Christian then looks to go up again, but he can't quite get the Ladder under the Belt and soon both men are inches from being slammed on the Ladder that still remains between the ring apron and the announcers table. Del-Rio is back body dropped on a Ladder in the ring whereas Christian is soon kicked from off the top turnbuckle to land arm-first into a Ladder below. A great match, an even contest and we watch now as the proceedings spill to ringside and Del-Rio is handed a steel chair by his personal ring announcer, but that backfires and when the match gets back into the ring Christian administers a Spear - paying homage to Edge - right into the gut of Del-Rio. The fans are on their feet as Christian climbs, four rungs from the Title, but Del-Rio's up and he pulls Christian in between the rungs and now Christian's trapped, he can't move, he's stuck and we watch ad Del-Rio goes up, but Christian does break free and he tilts the Ladder to prevent a Del-Rio win. The contest again spills to ringside and Del-Rio sets Christian onto the Ladder that still remains ring apron to announcers table and Del-Rio comes off the top turnbuckle to crash through the Ladder - but Christian moves and Del-Rio crashes and burns! Now it's Christian's chance and he goes up, he has his hands on the Belt, but wait Brodus Clay, Brodus Clay is here and he takes Christian away from his opportunity. Christian though fights back and levels Clay with the mini-Ladder to bloody him up. Del-Rio's back up though and he uses the mini-Ladder to lock in a cross-armbreaker within the Ladder Christian looks out of it as Del-Rio savors the moment to go up the Ladder and almost claim the World Title. But the crowd cheer as Edge is here, he comes out in a Jeep right by Del-Rio's flash car and this provides Del-Rio with enough of a distraction and Christian takes advantage to tilt the Ladder over and Del-Rio tumbles onto Brodus Clay and Ricardo Rodriguez at ringside. Edge then comes to ringside to watch close-up as Christian goes up a Ladder to claim the Heavyweight Championship of the World!
Winner and New World Heavyweight Champion: Christian!
Edge and Christian celebrate as Del-Rio's destiny is again halted. What a night for Christian, battered and bruised, but new World Champion! A great moment for Edge and Christian.
Backstage Alex Riley tells Miz of some worries that he has of hi winning the match tonight. Miz tells him to not ever do that again.
Wade Barrett & Ezekiel Jackson vs. Big Show & Kane (c)
Lumberjack WWE Tag Team Championship match
Notable Lumberjacks include The Uso's, Tyler Reks, Evan Bourne, Santino Marella, Yoshi Tatsu and many of the NXT rookies as well as The Corre's Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel. Wade Barrett is first to fall to ringside, but he gets back in the ring before anyone can touch him and he runs right into un uppercut by Kane. Kane has the tides turned on him and he falls to ringside to get beaten on, but then Big Show enter the equation and he saves his partner from a further mauling. Back in the ring The Corre take control over Kane and Barrett and Jackson tag well to stay fresh against one half of the WWE Tag Champs. Kane conters Jackson and both men crash to the canvas from double clotheslines. They both then make tags and the contest goes on for a spillage of Big Show to ringside and when Big Show's back in the ring Ezekiel Jackson body-slams him down. Wade Barrett tags himself in and attempts WasteLand, but that doesn't work, Show nails him with a chokeslam and that's it.
Winners: Big Show and Kane.
Ezekiel Jackson is visibly mad at Barrett and we watch as a brawl breaks out between the Lumberjacks, but all's well that ends well because Big Show and Kane chokeslam Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in the middle of the ring. Show and Kane celebrate as the fans applaud our reigning WWE Tag Team Champions.
John Morrison vs. John Cena vs. The Miz (c)
Steel Cage match for the WWE Title
Miz tries for an early escape but that backfires and the contest is a feisty contest as both Morrison and Cena are coveting The Miz's WWE Title. Cena and Miz are on the top rope and Cena performs a huge bulldog and all three men are down for a moment. Cena builds momentum as he sets up for "You Can't See Me!" and a Five Knuckle Shuffle to John Morrison. Miz then clutches Cena into a Skull-Crushing Finale and he hits it in this fast-forward match. Morrison though meanwhile climbs and he's nearly out so instead of covering Cena, Miz has to chase Morrison and before long all three superstars are up at the top of the cage and it's Morrison and Cena who double suplex The Miz right back into the ring. What a car crash that was. The Miz landed devastatingly hard, but the match goes on and JoMo goes to escape, but Cena gets after him. Morrison fights him off and then attempts a Flash Kick but instead of hitting Cena he whacks The Miz. Cena is then laid out by a huge backflip slam by Morrison and Morrison covers, but for only Two. Miz gets back into the action, slamming Morrison against he steel of the cage and he stomps Morrison's face right into the metal. John Cena comes at Miz and trips him into an STF. Miz though demands the door be opened and whilst in an STF, Cena and Miz both have hands out of the cage, but no feet and the contest goes on as Cena and Miz battle back into the ring. Morrison tries to escape over the top, but Cena chases. Miz tries to go out the door, but from the top of the cage, Morrison kicks the door shut on Miz's face. Cena then clobbers Morrison enough that he falls onto the top of the door and lands on his yam-bag. Goodness, that must of hurt. Miz then pulls Morrison back into the ring and from now Miz is in charge, punishing John Cena, grinding his face into the cage. Meanwhile though Morrison climbs and he almost gets up and over, but Miz goes up after him just in time. They trade punches on the top of the cage and Miz is then almost out, but Morrison athletically makes sure Miz is still within the cage. John Cena then comes up to stop JoMo, but Morrison kicks him away and then adminsiters a huge St*r-Ship Pain from off the top of the cage right onto Cena and Miz below. What a move! Cena and Miz are down and Morrison is crawling to get out the cage door. Oh no, Morrison's almost out, but R-Truth comes down to stop him. He knees Morrison's head into the steel steps before pushing him back into the ring and then getting in himself to take it to his former friend. Truth then performs a scissor-kick on John Cena before finishing Morrison off with his signature move. Truth then exits the cage over the top with Michael Cole arguing his point that he could have won this match and if it wasn't for John Morrison, it would have been R-Truth as WWE Champion right now. Cena and Morrison are down and a bloodied Miz is now getting back up. The Champion looks to capitalize, but Cena gets up to chase and Miz gets over, but can't drop to the floor because Cena keeps him in and he literally uses just his strength to pull Miz back over the top. The two then have a fist-fight on top of the cage and Miz is first to fall back in, but he hangs on to John Cena and still we're nowhere near finding out who's going to win this. Miz tries a Skull-Crushing Finale from the top rope, but Cena reverses and picks Miz up for an Attitude Adjustment from the top rope and that's it, Cena covers for the One, Two, Three!
Winner and New WWE Champion: For the tenth time... Johnnnnn Ceeeenaaaaa!

A new US Champ, an appearance from Kharma, a newly crowned World Champion and now a superhuman powered Attitude Adjustment leads to John Cena as new WWE Champion!
